Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster enjoyed a lavish date night in London after slamming “rift” claims.
The dynamic duo first met back in 1999 following the 79-year-old hitmaker’s split from his ex-wife Rachel Hunter. The happy couple tied the knot back in 2007 and have only gone from strength to strength.
But it hasn’t always been plain sailing for the showbiz couple. Earlier this week, it was reported that the couple were undergoing a “stalemate” in their 17-year marriage.
It was reported the couple were struggling to decide where they should live after putting their £53million Beverly Hills mansion on the market. It has since been taken down.

However, the loving couple appeared to be happier than ever on Thursday night (August 29) when they dressed up to the nines for a well-deserved date night at the Ritz in London. Penny, 53, looked nothing short of sensational as she rocked a sizzling red slip dress.
The Loose Women favourite elevated her look with a pair of strappy silver high heels and accessorised her ensemble with a silver clutch bag and a matching silver watch. She styled her golden tresses into loose beachy waves which cascaded down her back as she beamed to the paparazzi.
The former model added a full face of makeup to celebrate her youthful glow. The mum-of-two started with a pinch of blush on the apples of her cheeks and a touch of bronzer on the high points of her face.

She added lashings of black mascara on her fluttery lashes and finished the look with a swipe of ɴuᴅᴇ pink lipstick on her pout. Meanwhile, her rocker husband opted for a black and white tuxedo jacket which he teamed with a pair of black trousers.
He accessorised his ensemble with a silver necklace and added a pair of black and white dress shoes as he stepped out of a white Rolls Royce. It comes after the dad-of-eight spoke out after reports claimed he had been clashing with his wife.
It was reported the pair were ʙuттing heads over their current living situation. Rod has been working in the US on his Las Vegas residency, while Penny’s multiple jobs are based in the UK.

But now, the musician has cleared things up, saying the couple “wanted to put the record straight.” He released a statement to his 1.4million followers.
It read: “There is absolutely no rift between Penny and I and no disagreement over where we should reside, in fact it’s the opposite. We moved permanently back to our beloved Britain a year ago but are fortunate to also have homes in different countries, which we love to visit.
“Originally, we did think it made sense to sell our house in LA, but having spent a wonderful time there this summer with family and friends during my Vegas residency we realised that it makes sense to keep our house there. Two of my eldest children still live in Celtic House (the LA residence).”
He went on: “Penny and I could not be more in love with each other after 27 glorious years. Please trust me on this… there’s no disharmony in our marriage.”
Rod shares two sons with Penny – Alastair, 18, and Aiden, 13. He also has six other children from four other mothers – Sarah Streeter, 60; Kimberly Alana Stewart, 45; Sean Stewart, 43; Ruby Stewart, 37; Renee Stewart, 32; and Liam Stewart, 29.
