Pregnant Katherine Ryan was seen for the first time in London on Wednesday after revealing she’s expecting her fourth child.

The 41-year-old comedian announced on her podcast hours earlier that she is expecting her fourth baby and third child with her husband Bobby Kootstra.

The pair are already parents to Fred, three daughter Fenna, two, and the star also has 15-year-old Violet from a previous relationship. 

Katherine covered her growing baby bump in a red oversized jumper and grey joggers on the makeup-free outing.

Both Katherine and Bobby have admitted this will be the last child as they opened up about the pregnancy, admitting it would be ‘irresponsible’ to have more children.

Speaking on her podcast Telling Everybody Everything, Katherine explained: ‘I do love making people and I love making them with you, it’s always what I’ve wanted since prom.

‘But at this point, we need to see how it goes, but I think it would be almost irresponsible to the children that we have and to ourselves.’

Katherine also joked she has her sights on ‘getting H๏τ’ after this pregnancy as she teased she will be giving the Kardashian’s surgeons a call. 

‘Now that the Kardashians are being really transparent about who their surgeons are, I’ve got sights to get H๏τ. 45 whooo! There’s Ozempic around the corner for me, there’s the facelift.’

She continued: ‘I’m gonna have a baby, hopefully it’s a girl we never find out but if it’s a boy fine. 

‘The boys are yours [Bobby’s] and the girls are mine. Fred wouldn’t want to share you. 

‘And then have the baby and then we feel really overwhelmed, we nearly break up, we have a comeback story, we go to Italy, have a facelift.’

‘Get a revenge body,’ added Bobby.

Katherine also joked that the timing of her pregnancy had coincidentally lined up with that of Sophie Habboo’s. 

The former Made In Chelsea star and her husband Jamie Laing announced they were expecting their first child together on Tuesday. 

And commenting on the news Katherine teased: ‘Sophie Habboo also announced her pregnancy, which is a nightmare for me, she is like 20, a supermodel. 

‘I feel like we are the same gestation and I’m like “oh great” that girl is going to look H๏τ, H๏τ, H๏τ. 

‘I will be 42 year old this week, I am very blessed that I am still ovulating. I’m not complaining but it is going to be a fat girl summer for me.’

Bobby also joked that Katherine wanted to have another child to defy the biological clock.

He explained: ‘Well you do not like being told what to do. So when you’re getting to an age where women… when it’s getting harder to have a baby. You go “I’ll tell you what I’ll do, I’ll have one!” 

‘And so after the miscarriage you were more keen than ever to get it done because of the biological age and just the feeling of someone telling you that you can’t do this, you’re like “I will do this”. 

Katherine also joked that the timing of her pregnancy had coincidentally lined up with that of Sophie Habboo’s (pictured with husband Jamie Laing) as she joked it was a ‘nightmare’ 

‘I respect that about you. That’s where we are, but I think we can say this might be the last one.’

Katherine has been open about her fertility struggles in recent years, revealing in 2024 that she had had three miscarriages in five years.

Speaking in November, Katherine admitted she would love to have more kids – but was worried about her age.

‘I’m old. I used to think I was going to be the babies’ dad because I’m working but actually I’m like their grandmother,’ she quipped at the time. ‘My back hurts, sometimes I give them treats. I’m like a fun grandma.’

The couple revealed in the latest series of the family’s reality show that they ‘wanted the option of having a fourth [child].’ 

The series saw the couple exploring their marriage through therapy before visiting a fertility clinic. 

Katherine admitted in the scenes which aired in February that she knew conceiving a fourth child would be challenging thanks to both her and Bobby’s age.

‘It’s not that surprising that over-40 women have fewer follicles than we once did,’ said Katherine. ‘But we talk a lot about male fertility as well, which is on a steep decline. But I would still like a fourth baby.

‘We are so blessed to have the kids that we do have. Having children is not for everyone, but I personally really like making people. I think it’s a superpower, if you can do it.’

She explained at the time how she and her husband had never previously struggled with getting pregnant but had suffered multiple losses.

‘We’ve always gotten pregnant with the babies quite quickly. I’ve been pregnant five times in five years, but that also means I’ve had three miscarriages in five years and the likelihood of that increases as you get older,’ she explained.

‘You have to find a balance between what you can personally stand and risks you’re willing to take. I’m working a lot and I don’t know if I could have a medical emergency like that while I’m in Lisbon on Thursday.’ 

The comedian also revealed in March 2025 that she was battling melanoma for the second time. 

She made the revelation in her podcast, Telling Everybody Everything, explaining she paid to have mole removed from her arm and learned it was cancerous. She added that she required more surgery to ensure the entire mᴀss has been removed.

Katherine and her husband Bobby have been together since 2018, but have known each other since they were children as they grew up together in Canada .

Childhood sweethearts, the two parted ways initially before rekindling their romance this side of the Atlantic.
