Lily James took to Instagram on Monday to share a series of glamorous snaps from her recent Tokyo getaway with close pal Gala Gordon. 

The actress, 36, looked effortlessly elegant in a pale yellow floral yukata as the pair took part in a traditional Japanese cooking class. 

For the occasion, Lily styled her brunette locks in a chic updo, finishing the look with a matching yellow flower tucked behind her ear as she beamed for the camera. 

Gala, 34, looked equally stunning in a white yukata adorned with a purple and pink floral print. 

She mirrored her pal’s hairstyle with a sleek updo and accessorised with a delicate pink flower.

In another stylish snap, Lily turned heads in a white semi-sheer blouse featuring a unique black spray-paint print as the duo enjoyed an evening of delicious cuisine. 

Meanwhile, Gala looked effortlessly chic in a black bandeau top as she grinned alongside Lily during their fun-filled trip. 

Sharing the stunning snaps to Instagram, Lily gushed: ‘Tokyo, I love you.’

The holiday snaps come after Lily cut a chic figure as she joined Elle Macpherson at Dior’s runway show in Kyoto, Japan in April. 

The actress showed off her sophisticated sense of style in a plunging black dress as she posed at the event held at the Toji Temple.

She boosted her height with pearl-adorned heels and accessorised with gold hoop earrings while styling her honey tresses into perfect waves.

Model Elle, 61, meanwhile wore a gorgeous silk embroidered white jacket which she teamed with wide-leg trousers.

She clutched a small white handbag from the luxury brand and sported a perfect bouncy blowdry.

Lily’s appearance at the fashion show comes after she celebrated her 36th birthday earlier this year at a Michelin-starred restaurant in North London with her famous friends.

The star splashed out on a private dining room at modern Italian restaurant, Luca, not far from Lily’s Grade-II listed £3million home.

Hiring a private space at the lavish eatery which has a minimum spend of £650, with the chef’s fixed menu, including a wine pairing with each course, costs nearly £200 per person.

Lily was all smiles as she was joined by several close friends including her Mamma Mia! co-star, Dominic Cooper, his girlfriend, actress Gemma Chan, actress Gala Gordon and socialite Poppy Delevingne, older sister of model Cara.

Gala and Poppy took to Instagram to share pictures showing Lily looking happier than ever as she celebrated her day.

She looked relaxed in a khaki sleeveless dress cut away at the waist, showing off her slender frame.

The Surrey-born star and her friends drank champagne and red wine while feasting on a menu with mouth-watering items including £68 beef ribeye, £49 lamb with spiky artichoke and pine nuts and fresh pasta dishes such as £46 prawn taglierini.

At the end of the meal, Lily was treated to a big white birthday cake adorned with multi-coloured candles, meringue balls and an icing pH๏τo of herself as a child in an early acting role.

‘Keep shining my girl – this is your year,’ her close friend Gala captioned a video online.

Gala is an executive producer of Swiped, the film starring Lily as Whitney Wolfe Herd, the founder of dating app Bumble, due out this year. Gala is also co-founder of a film production company, Parados Productions, with Lily.
