Liam and Noel Gallagher are set to reunite to perform together this week for the first time in 16 years as the first full Oasis rehearsal takes place.

The formerly feuding brothers had put their differences aside and announced that they are set to perform a number of Oasis reunion gigs this summer.

And while Noel, 58, and the rest of the band have already kicked off band rehearsals without the frontman, 52, Liam is finally set to join the rest for a full set run-through at a secret location just weeks before the world tour begins.

It will be the first time Noel and Liam have played together was at the V Festival in Staffordshire back in August 2009. Just days later, the band split following a huge row ahead of the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

Liam shared his excitement about rejoining the band as he answered a plethora of fan questions on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday morning.

One fan asked: ‘Happy sunday man! Are you ready for rehearsals? there are only a few days left and you’re joining the others?’

To which the singer replied: ‘Yes Rasta D I’m in Tuesday to blow there minds.’

Another asked whether he was ‘excited’ to begin rehearsals, with Liam responding: ‘Can’t wait’.

Meanwhile, Liam further confirmed he was joining rehearsals after a different fan commented: ‘How long will your rehearsal day be? Will u breeze in & breeze out quickly?’

With the rocker remarking: ‘I’ll sing the set then I’m out there I don’t hang about.’ 

The Wonderwall singer also told how he was feeling ‘biblical’ and would not hang around to take pH๏τos as he noted: ‘You won’t see me I’m not a poser, I’ll be in and out.’

Just months away from their on stage reunion, Liam was said to be prioritising ‘rest’ instead of getting back in the studio with his brother.

A source close to Noel told The Mirror: ‘Noel is often in and out of the studio working on things, he is a singer songwriter so it’s only natural.

‘But Liam is a singer and he has a long list of dates ahead of him with Oasis this year so he will not be overdoing rehearsals. After a big solo Definitely Maybe tour your last year, the main thing his voice needs at the moment is rest.

The Oasis Live 25 tour kicks off on 4 July at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before playing sell-out gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park, Wembley Stadium in London, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield stadium. 

The pair will then embark on a global tour taking in shows in Japan, Argentina, the United States and Brazil. 

It comes as the truth behind Noel and Liam’s reconciliation and subsequent Oasis reunion has been revealed. 

According to reports, fans of the band have Noel’s daughter Anais to thank for the long-awaited reunion tour. 

The model, 25, is said to have helped bring the estranged siblings back together after ‘planting the idea’ of a reconciliation. 

Anais is also said to have helped piece together the set list and give an insight into what younger fans might want to hear.

According to The Sun, a source said: ‘Anais could tell her dad really wanted both his brothers, Liam and Paul, by his side after the split so was determined to get them back in touch.’ 

They continued: ‘She gets on great with Liam’s sons Gene and Lennon so she asked them if their dad would be willing to hear her out.

‘It enabled her to plant the idea of a reconciliation on both sides. Thanks to her close relationship with Liam, she was able to call him. Once Liam called Noel, the rest was left up to them.’ 

Anais has frequently been seen with her cousins Molly, Lennon, and Gene with them often attending events together. 

Molly’s mother is Lisa Moorish, who Liam had a brief relationship with while he was married to Patsy Kensit in 1998.

Liam did not meet Molly until 2018 after which he expressed hope he would remain in her life.

Liam shares Lennon, 25, with ex Patsy Kensit, and Gene, 23, whose mother is Nicole Appleton who he dated following his divorce from Patsy in 2000.

Noel also has Donovan, 17, with ex wife Sara MacDonald, who he split from in 2023.  

Oasis sensationally split in 2009 after a backstage bust-up – devastating their loyal fan base.

In the 14 years that have followed, a feud and bitter fighting has ensued with the brothers trading insults back and forth in interviews and social media.

But this year, the pair are reuniting for a huge world tour, and have dates booked across the UK, America, South America and Asia in 2025.
