The romance no-one saw coming was sealed on Sunday morning – albeit with a bouquet of roses instead of a lingering kiss. 

Love Island’s Chris Hughes sweetly welcomed his love interest JoJo Siwa back to the UK from her brief trip to LA as he picked her up from Heathrow airport with a bunch of red roses.

The dancer, 22, and the former Love Island star, 32, raised eyebrows with their close bond during their time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, and recently ‘confirmed’ their romance with cozy snaps while in the US and being seen kissing in a pool.

The pair, who recently spent her birthday week enjoying a romantic mini-break in Orlando, appeared to be in high spirits as they made their way across the airport with their luggage. 

JoJo – who is back in the UK for a London show on Monday – looked casual after her flight in a grey tracksuit while Chris wore a green hoodie and a white cap.

Chris had more than one reason to smile after his beloved Sunderland football club won promotion back to the Premier League following a dramatic play-off win against Sheffield United on Saturday.

Despite insisting their bond was platonic during their time on Celebrity Big Brother, they have sparked speculation that things have now progressed to the next level after Chris jetted to America for JoJo’s 22nd birthday as he enjoyed a holiday with her family.

And on Wednesday JoJo shared intimate snaps with Chris to her Instagram page as they spent time together on her special day.
