Alex Scott and her girlfriend Jess Glynne showed their support for Arsenal in matching shirts as they watched the Gunners storm to victory in the UEFA Women’s Champions League final in Lisbon on Saturday.

The former England player was seen carrying two champagne flutes as she watched the game unfold, culminating in Arsenal beating Barcelona 1-0.

Both Alex and Jess were dressed in vintage Arsenal shirts from 1988-1989 season, before heading down to the pitch to celebrate with the team.

The TV presenter and singer have been romantically linked since October 2023 with rumours hinting their relationship in the months prior. 

A source at the time said: ‘Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon.’

Alex recently revealed she kept her relationship with Jess a secret for more than a year because they both ‘knew their love was special’.

Alex recently revealed how she and Jess have ‘become the same person’ since moving in together.

Detailing her daily routine in The Times, Alex wrote: ‘I wake up next to my partner, Jess, who has become the same person as me over the past year and a half’.

‘She can see what going to the gym does for me mentally, so she’ll do the same’.    

It was recently rumoured that the pair are considering a permanent move across the pond.    

Alex’s future at the BBC has reportedly been thrown into doubt, with sources claiming she’s been ‘deeply hurt’ by a ‘lack of support’ surrounding Football Focus.

The presenter is thought to have made a complaint to channel bosses last year after the their response to criticism she faced around the show’s low viewing figures.

According to The Sun, Alex is now thought to be ‘considering other offers,’ and is even contemplating a move to the US with girlfriend Jess, as her BBC contract is up for renewal next year.

Alex has also stepped down from her hosting gig on Children On Need, with Rochelle Humes and Vernon Ka fronting the show this year.

The match on Saturday saw Arsenal win the women’s Champions League for the first time in 18 years.

For the past few seasons, this compeтιтion has been dominated by Barcelona, the Catalan giants having claimed the тιтle in three of the last four campaigns.

But when it mattered most, Arsenal held their nerve. Entering the final as underdogs, the north London club defied expectations and emerged as heroes in the cauldron of Sporting Lisbon’s sweaty, sticky Jose Alvalade stadium.

For years now Arsenal have slipped into nearly-women status, forced to watch from the sidelines as Emma Hayes’ Chelsea side knocked them off their perch at the pinnacle of the English women’s game.

The final whistle blew after seven minutes of added time and the Gunners threw themselves onto the pitched, relieved that one stretching, 18-year-long record, had finally come to an end.
