Jeremy Clarkson reveals he’s lost two stone on weight loss drug Mounjaro but jokes ‘I’m no David Gandy’ – as he reveals girlfriend Lisa Hogan has ‘given up’ on making him look good

Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he’s lost two stone after turning to the ‘game-changing’ weight-loss drug Mounjaro, but joked he’s ‘no David Gandy’.

The car fanatic-turned-farmer, 65, was ‘on death’s door’ late last year after suffering a heart scare which required urgent surgery.

Jeremy had two stents fitted to treat blocked arteries during filming for the fourth series of Clarkson’s Farm and has since transformed his unhealthy lifestyle.

He first turned to Ozempic, which ‘didn’t work’, but then found Mounjaro – another type 2 diabetes drug – which he says has been a game-changer.

The TV host has since lost almost two stone and is sporting a slimmer, healthier look, but still his girlfriend Lisa Hogan has ‘given up’ on making him look good.

But the outspoken personality insists he’s still ‘no David Gandy’.

Jeremy told The Sun: ‘Lisa’s given up on trying to make me look presentable. I mean, I’ve never heard such nonsense. Trimming eyebrows? What does it matter? I’m 65, it’s not like I’m David Gandy.’

He added: ‘I lost about a stone and a half, maybe a little more, and then it’s just levelled out now. I think I eat pretty well, I just drink too much – that’s the essence of it.

‘If I could just do something about that, but then I think, “what’s the point?”‘

Jeremy also opened up about the terrifying illness he endured between August and October last year – something which is detailed in the new series of Clarkson’s Farm, – the first four episodes of the series were released on Prime on Friday.

He revealed that while he was working hard to open up his new pub, The Farmer’s Dog, Jeremy was ‘becoming more and more ill’ but had no idea he was staring death in the face.

The farmer ‘got in a right panic’, as he put it, and lost all of his sense of humour and ‘ability to stay calm’.

He underwent an urgent two hour surgery to hold his arteries open, improve blood flow to his heart and relieve his chest pain.

Jeremy was told by doctors that ‘a lot’ of his current work will have ‘to go’, and suggested replacing it with golf.

Although the former Top Gear front man said there was little chance he would stop working, his new diet was ‘horrific’ and the renowned meat-eater said he was struggling to ‘make celery interesting’.

So he turned to Ozempic – used to treat diabetes – but it left him feeling unwell again and finished his use half a stone heavier than when he started.

Writing in his column in The Times in March, he said: ”My body lost the ability to deal with gluttony but once the initial enthusiasm had worn off, my mind still wanted to breakfast on Cadbury Fruit & Nut.

‘This meant I was sick a lot. And after I had vomited, I figured I was empty and could have another bottle and maybe another bar of chocolate too.’

‘Microdosing’ Mounjaro has done the trick however, a drug which mimicks out hormones that help regulate appeтιтe and blood sugar.

Jeremy is now looking forward to the release of the new series of Clarkson’s Farm, with fans welcomed back to Diddly Squat Farm on May 23, with two additional episodes released a week later on May 30, followed by the final two on June 6.

Life on the farm will be mᴀssively different to its previous series as Jeremy is tasked with handling it alone.

‘Navigating new challenges, ambitious projects, and hilarious moments’, the new series will see Jeremy’s work on opening the new Farmer’s Dog pub which will ‘give it a different feel’.

Fans are also to be introduced to new farmhand newbie Harriet Cowan, 24, who has been described as ‘brilliant’ by her co-stars and seems to have kept things running smoothly in Kaleb Cooper’s absence.

Jeremy previously announced that a fifth series of Clarkson’s Farm had been confirmed, before the fourth was even announced, back in November.

In a clip posted online, a huge number five firework lit up the sky as he told his followers: ‘Over the years bright lights in the sky have been used to make many important announcements.

‘The birth of baby Jesus for example, but tonight they’re being used to make an announcement that’s even bigger than that.

‘Season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm is coming,’ the TV presenter finished, before pointing towards the gold number five.

He captioned the post: ‘It’s the 5th November… this just felt right, Clarkson’s Farm S5 is officially in production.’
