Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker has opened up on her horror ordeal of having her rental car ‘smashed up’ and all of her possessions stolen during a Las Vegas Road trip.

Last week, the influencer, 24, initially revealed the news, telling her fans that she was stranded in the U.S. after her pᴀssport was stolen amid the theft, with her nightmare trip also seeing her undergo emergency surgery.

And in an update with fans on TikTok Friday, Saffron went into further details about the car theft, revealing that police had informed her that the ᴀssailants were ‘armed’ while stealing her things.

Speaking from a H๏τel room as she put her make-up, Saffron was joined by model boyfriend Josh Miln as they detailed the events leading to and following the break in. 

Beginning her video, Saffron told how ‘this trip hasn’t gone to plan at all’ as she recalled suffering the ‘worst pain she’s ever had’ ahead of her emergency surgery in LA.

She then told how her boyfriend Josh had flown out to meet her and that after they didn’t get to see much of Hollywood due to her illness, they decided to head to Las Vegas in an attempt to salvage the holiday.

In an update with fans on TikTok Friday, Saffron went into further details about the car theft, revealing that police had informed her that the ᴀssailants were ‘armed’ [pictured with the car]

Saffron told how the pair had hired a jeep to drive through the desert, but things went seriously wrong when they had stopped off at a diner for some food. 

The pair then told how when they came out of the diner after half an hour, ‘the whole situation was so weird’ after discovering the theft.

Saffron said that ‘the entire car was completely smashed up, every single thing that we had with us inside was taken including our pᴀssports, my medication…’

Josh then added: ‘The moment that it happened and the moment we realised that it happened, our hearts sunk. We were both just devastated.’

Saffron then explained how they had to drive the car with the smashed up windows to Las Vegas, where the H๏τel didn’t want to check them in because they had no ID.

Despite explaining the situation, Saffron said H๏τel staff ‘didn’t care less’, with the star adding via text on the video that they were made to ‘feel like criminals’. 

Josh added that the ‘cherry on top’ of the recent run of bad luck was that their house recently ‘got robbed’ as well.

On their current situation, Saffron shared: ‘We’re currently waiting to get emergency pᴀssports, we have to drive back to LA, but then our flights are out of Vegas so we have to drive back again. But we absolutely won’t be stopping!’

Since enduring the drama last week, Saffron had continued to keep her fans updated with her situation, with the influencer also sharing a video of herself and Josh inside the rental car prior to the theft.

Captioning the clip, she wrote: ‘They don’t know it yet but in just two hours time into their dream road trip, they’ll end up getting their rental car smashed up and everything they had with them stolen including their pᴀssports.’

A day later, Saffron uploaded a video of the day of the theft, with her and Josh initially expressing their excitement at having the opportunity to rent their ‘dream’ car, with Saffron ironically noting they had ‘good luck’ on their side. 

In the video which was captioned ‘If only they know how this trip was going to end’, the couple could be seen giggling with joy as Josh drove around the city in Nevada. 

The pair were seen heading to a local convenience store to stock up on American snacks before driving for several hours towards their next destination.

Saffron and Josh have since returned home to the UK, having obtained emergency pᴀssports in LA before returning to Las Vegas to catch their flight home

The clip then cuts to the couple coming outside after their meal only to discover the large back window smashed and their possessions gone, with the video showing the back seats showered with glᴀss. 

Fans were quick to comment with their messages of sympathy on the post, though some pointed out that the pair were unwise to leave their pᴀssports in the car.

Saffron and Josh have since returned home to the UK.

‘Got my rental car completely smashed up and every single thing I own stolen including my pᴀssport so I can’t get home.’

She did not explain what her emergency surgery was or why she was in hospital.

It comes as a tough blow to Saffron who was only rushed to hospital with ‘rashes and shooting pains’ last year. 

Speaking in a health update in October, Saffron spoke about her painful symptoms, which medics initially feared was a ‘tropical disease’ caused by a mosquito.

Saffron, who had recently enjoyed a trip to The Maldives, shared a snap of herself resting in bed and told how she feels ‘somewhat normal again’ amid her illness.

Writing over the image, she penned: ‘Thank you so much for all your well wishes, after a week I finally feel somewhat normal again.

‘The doctors thought I’d caught a tropical disease from a mosquito when I was away.’

Explaining her symptoms, Saffron added: ‘I had all the symptoms being, rashes all over my body, headache, body aches, shooting pains in my body, temperature, sore throat and ears etc.’

She said: ‘After getting my bloods taken turns out I didn’t have that but my white blood cells were half the number they should be so very low and therefore my whole body was trying to fight the infection.’

The blonde beauty the uploaded a video showing the rashes on her arms, adding: ‘This is what the rashes looked like all over my body.’

In a final update, Saffron posted another image of her arm while in the bath, with the star seemingly on the mend.

She shared: ‘Today is the first day I have woken up and they are settling so feeling grateful.’ 

In September, Saffron jetted off to The Maldives with a pal, where she documented her travels to the South Asian country with a pal.

Saffron’s health woes comes after she suffered another emergency in January, with the star having a horror ski accident during the first day of her family trip to the Alpes in France.

She insisted a ‘story time is needed’ to explain how and what happened before the accident struck.

Making light of the situation, Saffron captioned her post: ‘Well this isn’t how I planned to use this sound, story time is needed.. #skifails’

Despite her incident, Saffron appeared to be in great spirits as she continued to share gorgeous snaps from her trip.
