Tina Knowles proves grandmother knows best as she playfully scolds excitable Rumi for interrupting Beyonce’s on-stage speech to thousands of fans

Beyoncé’s daughter Rumi won over legions of fans for her adorable appearance on stage with her global superstar mother.

The American singer, 43, was joined by her daughters Rumi, seven, and Blue Ivy, 13, as well as her own mother Tina Knowles during her Cowboy Carter tour.

The sweet family moment came on the second night of Beyoncé’s tour at California’s SoFi Stadium, but fans were left distracted by one exchange.

Tina, 71, proved there was no such thing as a night off from her grandmotherly duties as she was seen scolding excitable Rumi for interrupting Beyoncé’s speech.

Beyoncé was paying tribute to Tina and congratulating her for the recent release of her memoir, Matriarch, when Rumi became overwhelmed with excitement.

The adorable youngster was seen jumping up and down on stage and trying to speak to Beyoncé during the speech, with Tina and Blue Ivy trying to calm her.

As Rumi reached up to grab her mother, Tina desperately grabbed her by the arm and tried to pull her aside, mouthing to her as Beyonce gave her speech.

Analysing the footage, forensic lipreader Nicola Hickling exclusively revealed that Tina said: ‘Wait, we’re talking.’

Tina then told Rumi, ‘calm down,’ before Beyoncé looked and smiled, insisting: ‘She’s okay.’

Rumi continued grinning from ear-to-ear and jumping up and down as she appeared to be having a great time, prompting her older sister Blue Ivy to intervene.

Trying to tame her, Tina tried to grab Rumi again before realising Blue Ivy had her hand and the doting big sister made a ‘shh’ sign and coaxed her into standing still.

But Rumi continued to steal the show, enthusiastically waving to the crowd and jumping up and down.

Fans were left in sтιтches over Tina’s panicked attempts to calm her granddaughter and Rumi’s cheeky on-stage antics.

Comments included: ‘Tina is old school you can’t cut up in front of company Rumi’; ‘[Blue Ivy] and Tina was fighting for they life’ (sic);

‘She like ”girlll we talked about this”’; ‘She’s a child and it’s normal for a grandma to quiet her down’;

‘She is young, let her show her joy’; ‘Rumi appears to be the sweetest, most joyful little girl.’

During her speech, Beyoncé heaped praise on her mother Tina as she lauded her latest milestone achievement with her memoir, Matriarch.

‘Today is a big day because my mother, who worked so hard on her book, she has the number one book on the New York Times Best Seller list,’ Beyonce shared.

She then urged her fans to say: ‘Congratulations Mama T,’ in the sweet moment.

Beyoncé had walked out on stage with Rumi as she performed Protector.

The youngster – who has a twin brother Sir – raised her hands in the air as her mother sang the lyric: ‘Liftin’ you up so you will be raised.’

It marked her second appearance on Beyonce’s tour, with the pop star previously bringing Rumi out on the opening night.

Blue Ivy also left fans in awe of her moves as she joined her mom’s dance troupe for her songs Formation, America Has a Problem, Deja Vu and Protector.

DailyMail.com revealed she spent hours a day rehearsing for nearly six months with choreographer to the stars, Amari Marshall, all while juggling school.

‘She has been training with Amari, and they started rehearsing just before Christmas,’ a source told the Daily Mail.

‘She rehearsed for six hours a day in between school work and has been watching her mum’s videos on YouTube. Blue even had a hand in some of the creative direction of this tour.’

Blue Ivy is scheduled to feature in around half of the 32 Cowboy Carter tour dates.

She previously danced on Beyoncé’s Renaissance World tour, joining her mom on stage for My Power and Black Parade.

She also danced with her mom during the halftime show at the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans’ Christmas game in December.
