Kelly Clarkson made telling remarks about her demanding talk show gig after her mysterious absence several weeks ago.
This comes after reports that Clarkson, 43, may be replaced by a morning show favorite after her unexplained absence earlier this year.
She vented about her schedule as she considered quitting her eponymous talk show gig.
During her first concert in nearly six months, she talked to her audience at the concert venue in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday evening that she is unable to go on tour because of her daytime TV job.
‘We haven’t done a show in a while, y’all, ’cause i have a talk show,’ she said to the crowd while onstage, per Page Six. ‘It’s like a whole other job.’
She also added that being a single mother already keeps her busy.

‘We are bummed ’cause we love doing shows, and it’s hard to fit it in, so it’s cool when it does work out with the schedule,’ she continued.
‘And it’s cool to get to see your faces and feed off y’all. Thank you so much for having so much energy.’
She last performed a full-length concert back in November 2024 but has not toured since early 2019.
Her comments about her talk show gig comes just weeks after she said she is considering quitting her talk show when her contract expires next year.
‘Kelly’s number one priority is her children, and they always will be,’ a source told Page Six last month.
‘The show is grueling. It’s a whole lot of work, and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.’

And earlier this year, Clarkson was absent from her show for multiple weeks without any announcements about her mysterious time away
This comes amid speculation about the star’s future in music and talk show hosting.
A network source also told the outlet earlier this week that Clarkson’s TV career is linked to her music career as she prepares to release more music.
‘If the album doesn’t do well, she might want to keep her talk show — but she has a lot going on and the timing may be right for the next chapter,’ the insider added.
Recently, there has been ongoing speculation that NBC is eyeing a replacement for Clarkson’s talk show slot and are looking at Today alum Hoda Kotb.
‘There’s a long list of names, and Hoda is part of that list,’ the insider told the outlet.
The former co-anchor departed from Today after nearly two decades hosting the daytime talk show.
