Our Yorkshire Farm star Reuben Owen sends fans wild with surprise career announcement

Our Yorkshire Farm fans have been left thrilled as Reuben Owen is set to return to TV screens in his own series later this month.

According to Leeds Live, an excited fan shared the news on a Facebook page that Reuben: Life in the Dales will return on May 20.

The post read: ‘The second series of Reuben – Life in the Dales returns for another series on Tuesday, May 20, on Channel 5. The first episode of this series is on the same day as the fourth episode of Our Farm Next Door.’

Fans took to the comments to say they ‘can’t wait’ to see Reuben returning in the second series.

Reuben first captured hearts on Our Yorkshire Farm with his family – parents Amanda and Clive Owen, and his brood of eight siblings.

Following the wrap-up of that show, he appeared on a programme with his father, Clive, and later embarked on solo ventures.

Not to be outdone, the Owens have also kicked off another series, Our Farm Next Door, featuring their efforts to refurbish Anty John’s.

The news comes after Reuben faced questions over a ‘disgusting and disturbing’ video that his mum Amanda posted on Instagram last month.

The 50-year-old shepherdess, who is best known for starring in C4’s Our Yorkshire Farm, loves to keep fans up to date with what she gets up to on social media.

Amanda took to her page to share a clip of her son Reuben, 21, helping her out on the Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale, Yorkshire.

In the clip, mum-of-nine Amanda can be heard saying: ‘Well this is what you’ve been getting up to in lambing fields,’ while Reuben is laying across an ewe and lamb.

He then picks up the ewe by the horns and she tells her son: ‘You did great there! And you got the lamb at the same time.’

Amanda captioned the post: ‘Caught ewe. Reuben downs tools and springs into action.

‘*Everyone lends a hand, there is no one exempt from lambing time tasks*.’

Many were left confused about the post and had no idea what was going on.

They shared their worry in the comments section.

One asked: ‘Could you explain what’s happening?’

‘Would be really useful to explain what is happening here.’

‘Why are you treating the ewe like that? Absolutely disgusting and I’m disappointed as I thought you were better than that.’

Others rushed to defend the mother son duo.

‘Please ignore comments from any animal activist… if we all listened to them nothing would ever get done and we’d all be starving by now . Carry on farming.’

‘Kindness is a gift, if you cannot say anything nice please say nothing at all.’
