Kylie Jenner and boyfriend Timothee Chalamet displayed subtle signs of a dynamic shift in their relationship during their red carpet debut on Wednesday. 

The reality TV star, 27, and the Dune actor, 29, walked the carpet together for the first time at a pH๏τocall for the 70th David di Donatello ceremony in Rome, after two years of dating. 

The couple’s interactions on the red carpet showed Kylie being ‘less clingy,’ according to body language expert Judi James, who spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com.

Judi noted that Kylie looked like a ‘woman in love’ contrasting with Chalamet’s more ‘studied’ demeanor, which made it seem ‘as though he’s playing a new role for the cameras.’

The couple’s moment of eye contact on the red carpet produced an ‘odd’ expression from the actor that looked ‘more like a stare than a face-softening “look of love,”‘ according to the expert.

Speaking of Timothee’s appearance, Judi notes that his dressed-up look makes him more ‘visually compatible’ with the lipkit mogul now.

‘His elegant black velvet suit and his tidal-wave hair takes him a long way from his more casual brand look when he was plugging his Dylan biopic.’ 

Timothee ‘seems to retain one facial expression and the rather languid one-hand-in-a pocket pose, even when he is walking out onto the red carpet, but this new look does make him more visually compatible with Kylie as his sophistication levels have risen to match her signature elegant, basic black styling.’

The expert added that Timothee’s ‘body language looks more grown-up here, which forms a match with hers.’

‘She appears less clingy here and less inclined to work the pose as she has on most of their appearances together.’

With his hand on top of hers, Timothee led Kylie out, but a different image suggests she was the one ‘towing him along to get into pose.’ 

Kylie then ‘leans back against him he reciprocates with one hand round her torso, although not many women appreciate having a hand placed on their stomach in the way that he’s doing here.’

However, the mom-of-two ‘adds an approval gesture by placing her own hand on top of his and inclining her head backwards to look like a woman in love.’

Judi noted that while they ‘look more pH๏τogenic as a couple here than they have before,’ Timothee appeared to have an ‘odd’ expression when they made eye contact in one image.

The couple were also seen getting very close as they attended the Coachella Music festival last month together.
