Adam Collard revealed he has undergone back surgery as he shared his pride over fiancée Laura Woods’ TV return on Wednesday.
The Love Island star, 29, and the TNT Sports presenter, 37, welcomed their first child, Leo, three months ago, having started dating in October 2023.
Laura was seen hosting TNT Sports’ coverage of the Champions League as she fronted the broadcast giants ahead of Barcelona and Inter Milan’s clash in the compeтιтion’s semi-finals.
But, as she was joined by the familiar faces of Steve McManaman and Owen Hargreaves in the studio, her partner was seen recovering in the hospital.
Adam shared a series of snaps to his Instagram Stories to reveal he had surgery and was now on crutches.
Despite the gruelling procedure, Adam still supported his partner as he was seen watching Laura’s stint on TV from his hospital bed.

In his pictures, Adam was seen dressed in a white hospital gown as he lay in bed watching the mother of his child on the TV.
Alongside his posts, he penned: ‘Back Surgery. Completed it mate. Now watching my girl from the bed on her first day back.
‘Proud of her after only 13 weeks getting back into the mix and I can’t tell you how much she’s been my rock throughout this whole injury, process and the last 6 months in general on all fronts. @laurawoodsy’.
Adam also posted a throwback picture of himself two years before his surgery and showcased his very chiselled physique.
The couple announced they had welcomed their son and revealed their baby boy’s name back in January.
In a sweet post at the time they shared pictures with the newborn and wrote: ‘Leo Ernie Collard, our boy,’ alongside a love heart emoji.
One heartwarming black and white snap saw the couple hold the little one in hospital as they shared a kiss in front of a sign that read: ‘We’re going home today.’
In another, new mother Laura was glowing as she cradled her bundle of joy while enjoying a cup of tea.

Reality star Adam looked every inch the doting dad as he settled down for a nap with little Leo, before the couple took the baby home.
The couple, who have been together since 2023, included an array of pictures of their baby’s first moments in the world, including meeting their French Bulldog Lulu.
Laura took to her Instagram Stories at the time to write that she was ‘smitten’ with their new arrival.
Friends and family of the couple rushed to the comments section to congratulate them, including a host of Love Island stars.
Samira Mighty penned: ‘Huge congratulations Adam! Lots of love to you both ❤️ proud of you!!!’
Luca Bish’s sister, who is running his account while he’s in the villa, quipped: ‘He’s in the villa finding his human to baby make with, but I know Luca would be chuffed for you. Congratulations.’
Andrew Le Page, Liam Reardon, and Finley Tapp also made sure to share their congratulations and well wishes.
Singer Lucy Spraggan gushed: ‘Leo❤️. Congratulations you absolute icons xxxx’
Presenter JayDee Dyer added: ‘Congratulations! You both deserve this so much.’

The couple announced their engagement in September when Adam got down on one knee at the beach in St Ives.
Alongside snaps of the special moment, Laura wrote: ‘And just like that… You make me happy.
‘Thank you @carbisbayestate – the place we fell in love and now the place we got engaged, you made it so special. What a summer x.’
Sharing his own gallery of pH๏τos from the proposal, Adam gushed that Laura is his ‘whole world’.
He wrote: ‘From dates & daiquiri’s to a Fiancé & a sprog on the way, our very own little team.
‘My whole world. Always. @carbisbayestate where it really all began, the only place to do it x’
Laura made her surprise pregnancy announcement in July, by sharing her first glammed-up snaps to her Instagram.
Underneath the trio of pictures, Laura wrote: ‘Entering the mummy era thanks to my love @makeupwithjourdan for making me feel like myself again!
‘Come and join me at 9pm on @eurosport 1 & @discoveryplusuk tonight for all the Olympic chat you need in your life’.

Laura took to Instagram to share her happy news with her more than 700,000 followers. Posting a snap of her French bulldog and a sonogram which she and Adam held, Laura wrote in the caption: ‘Hey baby.’
The couple went public with their romance in October 2023, after the sports presenter ‘accidentally’ posted a slew of later-deleted loved-up snaps.
Adam, who starred on Love Island in 2018 and 2022, also appeared on Celebs Go Dating last year, but he met Laura by sliding into her DMs.
The reality TV lothario proved the couple’s relationship has blossomed ever since as he dubbed Laura a ‘rockstar’ with a cute post on her birthday.
He opened up about how the pair got to know each during an appearance on a an episode of the Getting Lippy Gossip Show in December.
He said: ‘I’d followed her on Instagram because I’d seen a Lionesses game or something like that and then I DMd her because she put like a funny meme on her story.
‘I will hold my hands up, yes I acknowledge that even though she’s had my life about this a lot of times.’
That same month, Adam told OnlyAccounts.com: ‘I’m protective, whether it’s Laura, or my family, my friends. I want to get married. I want to have kids as well. I’ve always thought, what type of person will I be? How can I protect my kids?
‘Obviously I’ve never had a kid, but I don’t think I’ll be plastering it all over [social media]. I want them to have a fair fight and a chance not to be judged straight away.
‘As long as my really close circle knows exactly who I am, I don’t care. I think you have to take everything with a pinch of salt.’
Adam added that he is not concerned about the eight age gap between himself and Laura, saying: ‘We are not necessarily the average everyday couple.
Since going public, the couple have not shied away from giving an insight into their romance, with both posting snaps of each other on Instagram.
