Doja Cat left fans absolutely speechless as she boldly recreated one of the most controversial and provocative music videos in pop history.
On Wednesday, the 29-year-old rapper channeled none other than Miley Cyrus in the music video for her new, highly anticipated track, Lose My Mind, as she stripped off her clothing and rode on top of an engine, drenched in just black oil.
The Paint The Town Red hitmaker appeared to be reenacting the unforgettable moment that the three-time Grammy winner, 32, infamously straddled a swinging wrecking ball back in 2013.
When Cyrus released her polarizing music video for Wrecking Ball, it earned the Vevo record for the most views in the first 24 hours after its release with 19.3 million views.
The video, which features the former Disney Channel star licking a sledgehammer at one point, has since amᴀssed over 1.2 billion views.
Although she may have sought some inspiration from Cyrus, Doja paved her own path with the rest of the striking video, alongside her collaborator Don Toliver.

They wrote the song, alongside producers Ryan Tedder and Hans Zimmer.
The F1 The Album drops on June 27, the same day as the Apple Original Film, which stars Pitt and Idris as competing F1 drivers.
F1 – which also stars Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem – follows retired Formula One racer Sonny Hayes (Pitt) who returns to the track after a horrible crash to mentor rookie prodigy Joshua ‘Noah’ Pearce (Idris).
For their roles Pitt and Idris had to undergo ‘months of training’ that also involved learning the art of this particular genre of racing under the tutelage of seven-time world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton.
The movie was filmed at various Formula One races held around the globe over the past few years.
Joining the main stars of the cast are Shea Whigham, Joseph Balderrama, Sarah Niles, Samson Kayo, Callie Cooke, Will Merrick, and Layne Harper.

Earlier this month, Doja shared a 16-track list for her forthcoming album Vie that included the songs Turn the Lights On, Slide, One More Time, Make It Up, Lipstain, Kink, Jealous Type and I Like You.
It will follow her 2023 album Scarlet, which she previously called ‘quite an angry project’ during an interview with Jack Harlow for Present Space, last year.
‘I think the point of that album was to showcase anger and how it processes through my mind, but also it’s about coming to your own defense and love,’ she said.
Doja continued: ‘It’s sort of my “Why I oughta!” moment of squaring up with everyone and defending myself, telling myself that I’m here for me, and not just for everybody else’s enjoyment.’
