Elsa Pataky has revealed the secret behind her marriage to Chris Hemsworth – admitting how the couple have worked through ‘rough patches’.
It was love at first sight for the Spanish actress, 48, and her superstar husband, 41, when they were introduced in early 2010.
By the end of that same year, they had tied the knot and the couple are still going strong 15 years later, living a ‘constant holiday’ at their sprawling mansion in Byron Bay, Australia.
And now, the glamorous Elsa has revealed the secret behind her happy marriage to the Thor actor.
Speaking in HELLO! Magazine, the 48-year-old said: ‘Marriage needs constant work, and you learn a lot from the rough patches.

‘You have to try and keep growing together, making sure that your paths carry on crossing.
‘It’s about finding the fun, enjoying the little moments and remaining curious about each other. You have to be ready to adapt, and because there are situations that separate you, you need to know how to find each other again.’
Elsa and Chris moved back to the male A-lister’s home country of Australia around 2015 after living in Los Angeles, which they said was ‘too suffocating’.
The couple bought their east coast mansion down under a year earlier for $7million, eventually completing a $50million construction on the site in 2021.
The property features six bedrooms, a spa, games and media rooms as well as sprawling outdoor living areas.
‘When you’re in Los Angeles, work suffocates you,’ Elsa previously told News Corp.
‘There, all the conversations, even the billboards you see on the street, have to do with the world of cinema and its industry.
‘It can make you lose perspective’.
The couple initially lived in Los Angeles but found Hollywood ‘suffocating’, and so moved to Chris’s native Australia around 2015

It was a sentiment that Chris shared in an interview with Modern Luxury back in 2020.
‘I love what I do as an actor, but when you are surrounded by it constantly, it becomes a bit suffocating’ he said.
‘It’s nice to have conversations with people and be a part of a community that doesn’t live and breathe that world.’
The ‘down-to-earth’ couple have three children together – twins Tristan and Sasha, both 11, and 13-year-old India.
They spend much of their time playing sports, with Chris taking his two sons surfing and Elsa teaching India how to ride horses.
Prior to their move to down under, Elsa actually told Chris that she would only agree to relocate if they lived on a farm where she could ride horses.
‘That was my deal,’ she said – and Elsa got her wish.
On Tuesday, in fact, the actress stunned fans by sharing footage of her almost falling from a horse while riding through the New South Wales bushland with her daughter.
The social media post showed the pair losing control of their horses, leaving Elsa on the brink of falling into shallow waters.

The mum and daughter saw the funny side of the mishap, nevertheless, and were heard laughing at the end of the video.
Despite such fun, however, Elsa admitted that bringing up her children can be ‘exhausting’.
‘You can feel exhausted physically, but when they get older, it’s more psychological,’ she said.
Elsa added that she has tried meditating in order to improve her patience since having children.
