Helen Flanagan reportedly ‘asked Coronation Street bosses if she could return to the soap that made her a star.
The actress, 34, who was best known for role as Rosie Webster, first appeared on the Cobbles in 2000.
After leaving two years later, she then reappeared in 2017 and reprised her role for another year.
And she has since expressed that she would be keen to return to her role on the ITV show as she is said to have had ‘enough of reality TV’, according to The Sun.
A source told the publication: ‘She has had enough of reality TV and would like a regular job.
‘Helen recently spoke to a top Corrie producer about the possibility of coming back, but her character wouldn’t currently feed into any plots that are playing out.’

Helen told The Mirror: ‘I would love to go back to back to Coronation Street.’
She explained that being based in Bolton would mean that she would be able to work around her kids – Matilda, nine, Delilah Six, and Charlie, three, who she shares with ex Scott Sinclair.
The actress has even thought up a storyline that Rosie could take part in if she did make a comeback.
Helen said: ‘A single mum with a real storyline, with two kids that she dumps with Sally to have her Rovers return play out an iconic barmaid role.’
Back in January Helen sparked speculation that she will return to Corrie after sharing a sweet throwback snap on set.
The mum-of-three posted a cute picture of a young Rosie Webster with Barbara Knox as Rita Tanner on Instagram.
Helen first appeared on the Cobbles between 2000 and 2012, and again between 2017 (pictured) and 2018

Helen wrote: ‘Ah love this pic I found with the iconic Barbara Knox I was Matilda’s age.’
Just months before she admitted she ‘misses the excitement’ of working on the show.
The star told The Sun: ‘It really was such an incredible experience and it really shaped me as well.’

‘I think I’ll always kind of miss it, and I think it’s almost having that excitement in your life.
‘I’ve had that from such a young age I don’t actually know any different.
‘So all I’ve known since from being like a young age is either kind of being an actress or being in the public.’
Helen left the ITV soap in 2012 to pursue other things.
In the show, her alter-ego had signed with a modelling agency and she left the Cobbles to go to London.
But when she left in 2018 it was because she was about to go on maternity leave.
Meanwhile seven years ago her exit storyline involved her drug smuggling ex Antoine.
Back in 2022 Helen shocked fans when it was revealed that she had split with ex Scott.
The pair had been together for 13 years. Now Helen has found love again and she’s thriving.
The star has been dating Robbie Talbot since last summer.
Their relationship came to light during her stint on E4’s Celebs Go Dating, after she kept their relationship a secret.
Helen recently cosied up to her boyfriend during a romantic weekend away and shared their shenanigans on Instagram.
