Ashley Tisdale left fans stunned as the actress made a surprising revelation during a TikTok video on Tuesday.
The actress, 39 known for her role in High School Musical, posted a clip of herself with an age filter to make herself appear older.
Ashley explained that she initially thought she’d look a lot older as she penned on top of the video: ‘How I thought I’d look at 40 vs what I actually look like.’
At the end of the clip, the star removed the age filter and her youthful appearance was revealed.
‘Almost 40 and still feeling 25,’ she captioned the clip.
Following the post, fans were left in disbelief that Ashley is 40, with many ᴀssuming the actress was much younger.

Taking to the comment section, they said: ‘FOURTY ?!?! Girl you were just in high school musical yesterday;
‘Drop that skin routine because that’s GOALS;
‘I just googled it…. There’s no way you’re 39. You literally look 25 (my age) lol;
‘Girl no you’re 25 and I’m still 15 singing to high school musical;
‘Wait you can’t be that old???;
’40??? Ain’t no way.’
It comes after Ashley revealed why she has chosen to separate her private life from social media.
In a since deleted Instagram Story from February, the actress said she feels the need to scale back her presence on social media, especially when it comes to her young children.

The High School Musical star also blamed digital spaces for being dominated by and cultivating ‘judgment’ and ‘ᴀssumptions.’

‘As the world is getting loud, I find myself wanting to share less and less,’ she shared. ‘Maybe it’s because I don’t feel I can contribute in my positive way when everything feels so negative.’
The mother-of-two — who shares daughters Jupiter, three, and Emerson, five months, with husband Christopher French — said her decision was prompted by attempts ‘to protect my peace while navigating life with work and kids.’
‘I’ve been loving putting my phone down and being in the moment,’ the Disney Channel alum added.
‘Social media is such a blessing when you want to connect with everyone but can also be so noisy when used with judgment and ᴀssumptions,’ she finished the lengthy note.
In January, Tisdale shed light on her mental health struggles and how she was affected by the tragic wildfires that ravaged through Southern California.

Getting candid with her followers, wrote: ‘There are times in life due to my mental health where I feel very alone even when I’m out to dinner with friends.
‘This experience has shown me how many amazing people I have in my life and I am far from alone.’
The New Jersey native added, ‘The amount of people checking in with each other is so amazing. You realize in dark moments you have each other.
‘The human connection is not lost. Shout out to the mom group that’s there in the highs and lows.’
Ashley married Christopher back in 2014. The love birds welcomed their first child, daughter Jupiter in March of 2021 and daughter Emerson in September 2024.
