Eva Longoria turned heads as she arrived at the CNN Eva Longoria: Searching for Spain screening in New York City on Monday evening. 

The American actress, 50, looked incredible as she cut a stylish figure in a bandeau dress, featuring a ʙuттon-up fastening, an inner white lining, and a cinched waist. 

She added inches to her frame with a pair of white court stiletto heels as she struck  several poses for the camera. 

The former Desperate Housewives star further accessorised her look with statement drop earrings. 

Eva has been busy promoting her forthcoming Searching for Spain series, which premieres on CNN on April 27.

It will follow her as she embarks on a gastronomic pilgrimage through Madrid, San Sebastian, Barcelona, Seville and more, where she explores her ties to the country and shares the hidden gems that have helped make it a ‘personal favourite.’

In the first look trailer, released in February, Eva explained that her ancestors left Spain four centuries ago.

‘Eleven generations ago, one of my ancestors left Spain for the new world and new life,’ she said.

‘Four hundred years later, I’m back to see how the land and its people have created one of the world’s most exciting cuisines,’ the actress teased.

Her appearance at the screening comes shortly after she appeared on Live With Kelly and Mark on Monday morning, discussing her recent move to Europe.

The 50-year-old Searching for Spain star splits her time between Mexico and Spain with husband José Bastón and their five-year-old son Santiago.

Eva — who is a Corpus Christi, Texas native with Spanish heritage — revealed she was drawn to the Andalucía region of Spain.

It’s there where she enjoys chiringuitos, which are small beach bars and restaurants where people indulge in tapas and drinks.

‘I know that region the most because I’ve been going there for 20 years,’ the actress said to the morning show hosts. 

Eva also discussed the pᴀssing of Pope Francis, after she paid tribute to the beloved Catholic figure online.

She shared a memorable story of meeting him two months before her 2016 wedding to José.

‘I was so fortunate to meet him. He actually blessed Pepe and I right before we got married,’ she recalled, using her husband’s nickname.

Eva detailed, ‘We went to Rome and my husband was like, “Do you want to meet the Pope?” And I was like, “Yes!”‘

During the event, Eva was also joined by American actress Lisa Vidal, who looked effortlessly chic in a blue denim blazer and matching slim-fit jeans

Elsa Marie Collins looked sensational in a navy cut-out midi dress as she posed alongside Eva ahead of the screening

Spanish-American chef José Andrés also turned up to the screening to support his pal. He cut a smart casual figure in a navy blazer as he posed alongside Eva

During the event, Eva looked in great spirits as she caught up with Mark Thompson and his wife Jane Blumberg

She remembered intently practising the Spanish word for ‘holiness’ ahead of meeting the Spanish-speaking, first Pope of Latin heritage.

But when the moment came to say it, she hilariously reverted to English, greeting him with, ‘Hello, Your Holiness.’ 

Using her Instagram platform on Monday morning, Eva shared pH๏τos from the special day, adding a heartfelt caption.

‘Rest in Peace, Your Holiness Pope Francis. Thank you for being an ally to many of us and speaking up for the marginalized. Your compᴀssion, kindness and humility will always be remembered,’ she wrote in the tribute.
