Katherine Ryan revealed she’s turning her back on filler as she discussed ageing in the first episode of her new podcast on Tuesday.
The comedian, 41, has launched her newest project What’s My Age Again? and welcomed Joanne McNally as her first guest.
The podcast is described as ‘a refreshing and humorous take on ageing, wellness, and self-discovery’
It features interviews with some of the UK’s most famous faces, who have all undergone a blood test to determine an accurate reflection of their biological age, as opposed to their chronological age.
Each week, Katherine and her guests are also joined by Dr Nichola Conlon, a specialist in longevity and cellular ageing, who interprets the test results.
Kicking off episode one, Katherine admitted that she thinks once you’re ‘over 40 the filler has to go’ as it ‘ages you more.’

The conversation began with Joanne discussing her own experiences with enhancements as she recalled a time she realised the work she’d had done looked ‘bad’.
She recalled: ‘I was on TV before I realised you don’t go on TV without Botox. I get everything (Botox) and there’s nothing I don’t do.
‘I think I definitely dabbled in a bit of filler before and then I had a pH๏τoshoot for a podcast I was doing back in the day.’
Upon realising she didn’t like the results, Joanne quipped: ‘Bad work is like bad breath you don’t see it until you have it reflected to you and you’re like “Oh I look like a melted baby”. You tinker too hard, you’re like whoops.’
‘Yeah, you can get lost in the game,’ admitted Katherine, ‘I think physical age like what we’re talking about, the Botox and filler, it has to go – it ages you even more.’
Joanne quipped: ‘It’s that thing of like how much work is too much work? I think me and you, maybe I’m deluded, look quite natural.’
She then went on to compliment Katherine’s lips, to which she responded: ‘No! They’re botched. It’s been botched. First of all I need a lip lift.’
Elsewhere in the podcast episode, the comedian joked that when she reaches 80, she will ‘be doing MDMA’.
She said: ‘I’ve got a lot of plans for my elderly age. When I am chronologically 80, if I am by the grace of God, I will be doing MDMA for the first time.’

‘Have you not been doing MDMA? What have you been doing?’ laughed Joanne, to which Katherine quipped: ‘No. Having kids, I’ve been taking a different kind of injection.’
Joanne also reflected on her age as she said to the host: ‘We’re both 41. You’re married with three children. I’m unmarried, unfertilised, single, blah blah blah, so.
‘I was a bit freaked out about turning 40 when I was 30. When I was 30 it seemed really old but when I was staring down the barrel of it I was like this is actually grand.
‘If I turned 40 with the lifestyle I had at 30, it would have been a different situation. I was in a houseshare in my thirties because I moved to London from Ireland.’
Other future guests set to join Katherine’s brand new podcast include Olivia Attwood, Romesh Ranganathan, Adam Buxton, Jill Scott, Bryony Gordon, Dame Sheila Hancock, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Alastair Campbell and Dame Denise Lewis.
The podcast has premiered on all major platforms, including Rayo, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.

Lucie Cave, Bauer Media Audio’s Chief Creative Officer said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to welcome What’s My Age Again? to our podcast family.
‘Katherine has always had a unique ability to blend humour with meaningful conversation, and this podcast takes that to a whole new level.
‘The concept of measuring glycolic age rather than biological age is groundbreaking, and with Katherine’s wit and her celebrity guests, we believe it will be an engaging, entertaining, and educational experience for listeners.
‘It’s truly a perfect match, and I know listeners are going to love this innovative new show.’
