How Tiger Lily made her first million: She lost out on £40M fortune from INXS dad… but there is a ray of hope for the expectant mother after she secretly tied knot with Ben Archer

Just six years ago Tiger Lily was said to be ‘living in a squat’ after missing out on her singer dad’s apparent fortune.

The 28-year-old, who is the daughter of the late Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence, revealed in 2019 that she hadn’t received a penny of the INXS star’s £40 million fortune after his business manager Colin Diamond insisted he had ‘died penniless’.

However, things appear to be on the up for Tiger Lily after she secretly tied the knot with her husband Ben Archer over the weekend.

And now it has been revealed that she has already netted her first million as a musician and artist.

Tiger has quietly set up her own personal firm Hineni Ltd, which has been revealed to be worth £903,736 in ᴀssets.

Over the last three years of actively trading, figures show that she paid approximately £205k in corporation tax – which at the 25 and 19 per cent rates depending on the year – means she’s netted close to £1 million during that time.

Hineni comes from ‘Hineni’, a Hebrew phrase meaning ‘Behold, here I am’ – and was featured in a 2016 Leonard Cohen song ‘You Want It Darker’.

According to Companies House, Hineni’s registered address is with the the showbiz management giants YMU, who also look after her stepfather Bob Geldof, who adopted her Tiger Lily following her mother’s death in 2000.

They also represent Davina McCall, Ant and Dec, and Graham Norton.

In March, Tiger Lily had her first major exhibition of paintings at the Big Yin Gallery in St Leonards, east SusSєx.

An gallery Instagram post advertising the event, states: ‘Tiger is a musician and art psycH๏τherapist, her work combines the investigation of maternal nature and roles with her own strength and playfulness.

‘Tiger’s pastel works and paintings are meditative investigations, grounded in understanding. Her lines vibrate with sweetness and wisdom. Her pH๏τos are purely an invitation to play.’

Tiger Lily’s father Michael took his own life in 1997, however he was said to have ensured she was financially taken care of before his death – setting up for her to receive three lump sums, each of £12million, from his estate when she turned 18, 21, and 25.

But in 2019, then aged 22, Tiger Lily revealed she hadn’t seen a cent, after Michael’s business manager Colin Diamond insisted the INXS star ‘died penniless’.

‘Maybe it’s still going to come to you,’ a filmmaker making a documentary about Michael’s life told Tiger Lily at the time, to which she laughed and said she’d ‘given up on that now. It’s literally gone.’

Last weekend Tiger Lily reportedly said ‘I do’ in an intimate ceremony of 30 guests in East London as she tied the knot with her boyfriend of two years.

According to The Sun, the couple—who met in 2023—were ‘keen to marry’ ahead of the birth of their first child.

And the happy couple have been spotted taking a stroll around London as they wore matching gold bands on their wedding fingers.

Showing off her baby bump in a pair of high-waist black jeans, the soon-to-be first-time mother was all smiles as she happily took a call on her mobile.

Tiger added a pop of colour to her casual ensemble with a bright pink and red cardigan which sat above her swelling tummy.

When Tiger Lily’s father Michael ended his life in 1997, he believed his estate was worth millions of dollars and that his daughter would be taken care of for life.

But in 2019 it was reported that Tiger Lily – whose full name is Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof – was living in a ‘London squat’ and has never seen a cent of his fortune.

Tiger Lily was adopted by Bob Geldof after the death of her father by suicide in 1997 and three years later she found her mother Paula ᴅᴇᴀᴅ (Seen with Bob in 2008)

‘I’ve never received anything from anyone,’ she told Richard Lowenstein, the filmmaker who made the 2019 documentary about her famous father.

She apparently had just one meeting with an accountant about her father’s financial matters when she turned 21 ‘that was so bad [she] didn’t want to do it again’.

In 1996, a year before his death aged 37, Michael drew up his last will.

It is believed the first $500,000 of his estate was bequeathed to charities Amnesty International and Greenpeace.

Another portion was to be split among his family, including his mother, father, brother, half-sister and partner Paula, who Tiger Lily tragically found ᴅᴇᴀᴅ from an overdose in 2000.

The remaining half of his estate was intended for Tiger Lily to inherit.

Despite outlining in his will how he wanted his fortune to be divided, claims have since been made that Michael actually ‘died penniless’, with his business manager Colin alleging in 2017 that his wealth was ‘eaten up by partying, gifts and huge legal bills’.

An executor report given to Michael’s family eight years after his suicide stated he had just $506 in cash at the time of his death. The report added that his share of INXS’s bank balance was a measly $572.

But in 2017, a series of leaked documents suggested that business manager Colin was the ‘ultimate beneficial owner’ of Michael’s estate.

According to ABC’s Four Corners program, Colin set up a company in Mauritius called Helipad Plain ahead of the twentieth anniversary of the rock star’s death.

The offshore company claimed it had rights to exploit ‘sound recordings, images, films, and related material embodying the performance of Michael Hutchence.’

Tiger Lily is said to have had a meeting with Colin about her dad’s estate where he gave her just £500 and said: ‘There you go, that will tide you over.’
