Katy Perry shared a sweet moment with her four-year-old daughter Daisy just before blasting off into space as part of the controversial Blue Origin mission on Monday.
The singer, 40, soared into the sky with a star-studded crew, including Lauren Sanchez and Gayle King for the 11-minute journey.
Daisy, dressed in an astronaut costume, was seen for the first time publicly as she joined millions of people around the world to watch her famous mom fly to the edge of space on the all-female rocket mission.
The California Gurls songstress paid a heartfelt tribute to her daughter in space, as she held up a daisy inside the spaceship and again upon exiting the rocket after completing the journey.
And new footage of the lead up to blast off shows Katy being taken to the lift off site in a car as she leant out the window to share a sweet moment with Daisy who was on her dad Orlando Bloom’s shoulders.
She touched her cheek and leant in to give her a kiss before the car speed away to the start point.

Another part of the video then showed each of the women saying their final messages to their family as Katy said: ‘I love you Daisy!’
It comes as it was revealed that Lauren’s husband Jeff Bezos – who is the founder of the private space technology company Blue Origin – helped convince Katy and partner Orlando the mission was safe enough for Daisy to come and watch.
A source exclusively told DailyMail.com that while it was a ‘monumental’ moment for the Grammy-nominated artist, ‘they had to acknowledge that something could go wrong.’
‘If it did, Daisy would have been traumatized,’ the insider said. ‘Ultimately, Jeff was able to convince them that the risk was incredibly low.’
A separate source claimed the famous parents allowed Daisy to witness the moment and be seen because ‘this wasn’t just fun for Katy, she wants Daisy to be proud of her and show her daughter that she can do anything.’
However, Bloom made the decision to step back from the spotlight. The Pirates of the Caribbean star did not want to appear on-camera, and even told producers and the film crew he wanted to keep a low-profile.
‘He did not want to take away from Katy’s moment and he also did not want people to see the fear in his eyes,’ the insider added.
Katy was back to reality on Wednesday as she shared a snap to her Story of making her packed lunch for Daisy.

Fast food chain Wendy’s got in on the action, as the X account posted pH๏τos of Perry kissing the ground after landing with the caption, ‘I kissed the ground and I liked it,’ in reference to her song I Kissed a Girl.
Perry’s pop rival Kesha, 38, piled in on the drama, posting a snap of herself enjoying a Wendy’s shake and smiling.
Even Katy’s speech was mercilessly mocked, with viewers calling her emotional message ‘tone deaf’ and ’embarrᴀssing.’
