Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story – and viewers have already shared complaints weeks before it even hits screens. 

The new documentary series will delve into the lives of Britain’s most notorious and prolific pair of serial killers. 

Rose was convicted of nine murders, while Fred was convicted of 12.

Among their twelve known victims are their eldest daughter Heather, 17, and Fred West’s eight-year-old stepdaughter, Charmaine. 

Set to air on the popular streaming platform from May 14, the three-part show will feature family members of some of the 12 victims.

For some, it will be the first time they have spoken about the case and opened up on camera about the trauma they experienced.

The series will look into exactly how Gloucestershire police officers unearthed the remains of the couple’s victims and collect evidence against them.

Directed by Dan Dewsbury, each of the three episodes dives into the different aspects of the case. 

The first instalment, called ‘Fred’, will look specifically at the moment Fred West was taken into custody and questioned about his missing daughter. 

While the second, named ‘Rose’, explores the pair’s ‘dark, twisted relationship’ and how police realised Fred didn’t commit the heinous crimes alone. 

The third, called ‘The Trial’, then looks at further evidence that brought Rose further into the case. 

Released on Wednesday (April 16), the trailer offers a sneak peak of the documentary series.

The show will feature previously unseen police video footage and audio recordings – providing an even deeper look into the case.

However, some viewers took to the comments of the trailer to express how they felt ‘tired’ of true crime.
