Gemma Collins shocked commuters as she showed off her impressive piano skills during the 24-hour PIANOTHON at London’s Liverpool Street Station on Friday. 

The former TOWIE star, 44, lifted spirits as she took to the piano to expertly tap out the popular Chopsticks tune, stopping pᴀssersby in their tracks. 

Gemma cut a stylish figure for the surprising performance wearing a cream single-breasted blazer and tailored trousers. 

The TV personality also showcased her vocals when she later belted out Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody, alongside the Key Note Choir for pᴀssersby. 

Following her performance, Gemma admitted she ‘loved’ being a part of the special day but jokingly added that she felt ‘disappointed’ she couldn’t ship her leopard-print piano to Liverpool Street Station. 

She said: ‘I loved having the chance to be part of the PIANOTHON with Channel 4 and doing something a bit different.

‘It was a chance see the GC in a new light. I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t ship my leopard-print piano into Liverpool Street Station, though!

‘Music is about connecting with people and sharing moments of joy, and what is more joyful than surprising people in a train station with loads of brilliant music? Maybe this is the start of something exciting for me – watch this space!’

Meanwhile, Amber Kirby, Director of Marketing at Channel 4, said: ‘A 24-hour piano concert at Liverpool Street Station is the perfect way to celebrate the launch of The Piano’s third series this Sunday.

‘It is a unique opportunity to showcase brilliant performers playing their hearts out, as well as sharing joy and the incredible power and diversity of the piano. 

‘We’re proud to present this unforgettable moment where talent, pᴀssion and emotion come together to create something truly special.’

The 24-hour PIANOTHON has taken over Liverpool Street Station to celebrate the return of the much-loved Channel 4 series, The Piano.  

It is a major musical event featuring more than 50 performers in a spectacular non-stop show of live piano music. 

Later in the day, Eurovision favourite Sam Ryder, 35, also brought the cheer as he performed some of his most popular hits including Armour and White Lies.

While, Brad Kella, winner of The Piano series two, performed a selection of his own compositions. 

The X Factor winner, Myles Stephenson, 33, also took to the piano to show off his talents during the lunch rush. 

Impromptu train station piano performances have become increasingly popular over the past few years, especially at London’s famous St Pancras station. 

And now it seems London Liverpool Street Station is following suit.

In November last year, Jeff Goldblum, 72, delivered an impressive impromptu festive performance, ahead of the release of the popular movie Wicked.

The star took to the piano under the incredible emerald Wicked-themed Christmas Tree for a performance in the busy London train station.

Jeff, who portrays The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in the film, played a song from the film, as well as two classic Christmas songs.

The star cut a smart figure for the performance in a long beige coat which he teamed with grey wool trousers.

After his performance, Jeff was seen chatting away to gathered fans and commuters under the green-themed Christmas trees which is in partnership with Universal Pictures, to celebrate Wicked’s release. 

Meanwhile, in October, Craig David, 43, shocked Londoners when he performed an impressive acoustic performance at the station. 

The 7 days hitmaker delighted commuters as he performed five of his hit tracks while a member of the public accompanied him on the piano. 

As crowds of excited fans gathered, Craig kicked off the surprise performance with his 2000 single 7 Days before moving on to his 2003 track Rise & Fall.

The R&B artist then said: ‘We’re just quick firing through them, I’m just pᴀssing through,’ before asking the pianist, ‘What else can you do?’

Craig then broke out into his single Can You Feel Me before transitioning into Unbelievable.

For his final song, the rapper sang his latest single In Your Hands which he released in September.

She was pictured wearing a leather car racing jacket and a black skirt which she teamed with slouchy black leather boots.

The American singer displayed her sensational sense of style, adding a black-high neck top to her edgy ensemble. 

Alicia radiated happiness as she posed up a storm in front of the piano and beamed for the cameras after her show-stopping performance. 

The Piano will be available to stream on Channel 4 from Sunday, April 13 at 9pm.
