Weezer bᴀssist’s wife filmed morbid reality TV show about famous serial killer before shock police shooting

Weezer bᴀssist Scott Shriner’s wife Jillian Lauren Shriner took her interest in dark subjects to new extremes when she appeared on an episode of the reality series Ghost Adventures.

Shriner, who wrote a book about America’s ‘most prolific’ serial killer, Samuel Little, appeared on an episode of the reality series Ghost Adventures with host Zak Bagans that was taped in November 2024, according to TMZ.

Shriner’s appearance came just months before she was sH๏τ in the shoulder by police after she allegedly pointed a gun at officers from her front yard in Los Angeles amid an unrelated manhunt on Wednesday.

The author, who was taken to a hospital with injuries that were deemed not life threatening, was subsequently charged with attempted murder.

But before the shocking controversy, Shriner, 51, was focused on telling the story of Little and his numerous victims.

The convicted murderer, who died in prison in 2020, was convicted of eight murders, but he confessed to having killed 93 people from 1970 to 2005.

The FBI later concluded that he had likely been involved in at least 60 killings, which would make him the ᴅᴇᴀᴅliest American serial killer ever.

Production sources told TMZ that Shriner filmed her episode of Ghost Adventures at Bagans’ Haunted Museum, located in Las Vegas. Fittingly, the episode was focused on Little and his crimes.

Shriner was an obvious choice as a guest for an episode focused on the serial killer, as she published the true-crime book Behold The Monster: Facing America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer in 2023, which explored Little’s crimes.

Sources said that author shared some of her personal knowledge of Little, which she acquired via numerous prison visits to interview him for her book.

They claimed she divulged some ‘graphic details’ of their conversations, and also revealed chilling threats that Little allegedly directed at her.

Back in November, Shriner shared pH๏τos of herself with Little’s ashes, which she has been in possession of.

‘Taken just before we put together the Sam Little exhibit at @thehauntedmuseum @realzakbagans,’ she captioned a morbid pH๏τo of herself brandishing the small container and another closeup of it in a car trunk.

According to TMZ’s sources, Shriner had given the serial killer’s ashes to Bagans in September of last year for display at his haunted museum.

The true crime writer reportedly confessed that she had been dealing with depression and stormy moods while housing Little’s ashes at the home she shares with her musician husband, and she thought turning them over to the reality host my be a positive change for her mental health.

Allegedly among the items making up Bagans’ Samuel Little collection are disturbing portraits Little made of the 93 women he confessed to killing.

In a chilling turn, he also drew a portrait of Shriner after she began interviewing him, which is also reportedly part of the museum’s collection now.

So far, the Shriner-featuring episode of Ghost Adventures is slated to air this season, which has its premiere episode scheduled for April 23.

Her shocking interaction with police occurred Wednesday afternoon, when she allegedly became involved in a police manhunt.

A male suspect who was involved in a three-car crash on the 134 Freeway around 3 p.m. allegedly fled the scene with two other male suspects before he entered a neighbor’s property in Los Angeles’ Eagle Rock neighborhood.

The man reportedly went so far as to strip down to his boxers before jumping in the neighbor’s swimming pool and watering some plants in a comical attempt to disguise himself as a resident.

Shriner allegedly stepped out of her home with a gun at that point, though it’s unclear if she ever fired any sH๏τs. Police claim that she pointed her weapon at officers.

Police sH๏τ her in the shoulder after she allegedly refused to obey multiple commands to drop the gun.

After being sH๏τ, Shriner ran back into her house, before she and her babysitter emerged a short time later with their hands up, before police ordered them to lay down on the street.

According to CBS News, Shriner told officers she had the gun to defend herself from the fleeing suspect in the neighborhood.

Her husband, Weezer bᴀssist Scott Shriner, 59, told a New York Post reporter that his wife was ‘all right’ when he was approached outside of their home on Thursday.

‘See you at Coachella,’ he added to the terse statement, seemingly confirming that he still planned to perform with his alt-rock band at the popular music festival, which begins on Friday and runs for two consecutive weekends.
