Sean Paul fans have demanded ticket refunds after they were allegedly left waiting ‘hours’ for his gig in Dublin to start – which he later ‘cut short’.

A concert-goer has told the Irish Independent he was due to be on stage at the 3Arena at 9pm but left them waiting until 10.30pm.

Fans on X also fumed Sean had reportedly ‘cut the gig short and performed for only 45 minutes until 11.15pm’.

The musician, who played at the O2 last month, took to the stage after supporting act Ashanti to kick off his Bring It Tour.

A fan who attended the gig told the publication that the concert was ‘shocking’ and said they were often shouting out for Sean to ‘slow down his songs’.

‘I’m not sure that’s even the word to use because after talking to people at the gig, apparently Nicki Minaj was worse, but it was not good’, the fan said.

‘He [Sean Paul] didn’t come on until 10.30pm, played until 11.15pm, so he was on stage for about 45 minutes. He was flying through the songs, and I remember at one point looking to my friend to say, “Would he slow it down a bit?”

‘There were so many songs we didn’t get to hear. I went to an official after-party following the gig where I heard more of his music than in the gig itself.’

Tickets ranged from €60 (£51) to €95 (£82) to attend the gig.

MailOnline have contacted Sean Paul’s representatives, Ticketmaster and 3Arena for comment. 

Fans on X, who also attended the concert, also shared their outrage – branding the concert ‘an absolute joke’.

Some wrote: ‘Sean Paul and Ashanti in Dublin was the biggest s***fest I’ve ever seen ! Absolute joke of a concert ! Anyone with tickets for future gigs, good luck !!’,

‘It was a joke. He came on for 45 minutes!’,

‘Can’t believe the state of #SeanPaul concert tonight. Ashanti the support act played for longer than the act we paid to see.
