Joshua Jackson has revealed the touching gift he gave his daughter Juno Rose, four, after they lost their $2 million house to the LA fires in January.

The 46-year-old’s childhood home in Topanga Canyon, which he bought back after becoming a star, was consumed by the Palisades Fire.

He and Juno, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jodie-Turner Smith, subsequently moved into a rental property where they still live.

Now, he has divulged that he heartwarmingly presented his daughter with a new rainbow playroom that she once requested from him.

In a touching new Instagram album, he shared a few pH๏τos showing his fans the process of having the room painted to his daughter’s specifications.

Given their home is a rental, Joshua also offered a ‘huge thanks to my landlords for not batting an eye’ at his request to make such a drastic change to their décor.

He began by recounting a conversation with his daughter, who asked: ‘Daddy when we build the new house we should have a rainbow room.’

‘I got you kiddo…,’ said Joshua, to which Juno added that she wanted ‘a blue sky roof’ as well as ‘pink. There needs to be pink.’

Joshua wrote to his fans: ‘Last month I posted a story about our house burning down. First I want to say thank you to everyone who reached out and kept reaching out, it means so much during these times.’

He then offered them an ‘update’ that was ‘a little more positive,’  I also wanted to put an update here, something a little more positive.

Joshua recalled: ‘For months before the fire JR was on me to paint a rainbow room. I was working and I couldn’t quite figure out where to do it and yadda yadda… I didn’t do it. Which I now really regret.’

He shared: ‘So what you are seeing here is the newly unveiled rainbow room( huge thanks to my landlords for not batting an eye when I asked them if I could paint their walls “rainbow”). Because while I can’t give her a new house(yet) we can certainly have some rainbows along the way. We’re doing alright… to be continued’.

After rising to fame in the 1990s via the Mighty Ducks film franchise, he purchased the California house back in 2002 for $865,000.

‘My father unfortunately was not a good father or a husband and exited the scene, but that house in Topanga was where everything felt simple, so it was a very healing thing for me to do,’ he told MR PORTER in 2021.

‘There was a mural of a dragon on the wall in that room that I couldn’t believe was still there, years later. The owner[who sold him the house] said: “I knew it meant a lot to somebody and that they were going to come back for it some day.”‘

This January, the estate became one of the more than 10,000 structures to be destroyed by the wildfires that devastated mᴀssive swaths of Los Angeles County.

After his home burned, Joshua broke his silence with a statement in which he expressed his graтιтude that his loved ones managed to escape the flames.

‘First and most importantly, all the people closest to me affected by the fire are ok. My daughter, my family, my neighbors all made it out safely,’ he began, via ᴅᴇᴀᴅline.

‘Sadly my beautiful home did not survive the fires. But today, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by the people I love,’ he continued.
