Clayton Echard of The Bachelor fame took to social media this week to blast his ex Gabby Windey for ‘bullying’ him.

The 31-year-old reality television personality, who appeared on season 26 of the franchise, has been documenting his foray into hip-hop dancing on his Instagram page since 2023. 

After 34-year-old Gabby bashed the videos — as well as his looks and fashion — on a recent episode of the Las Culturistas podcast, he responded by calling her out in an Instagram reel.

‘Bullying people for their physical looks and their pᴀssions is completely unnecessary and behavior like this needs to be called out,’ he wrote in the caption. 

In the April 3 episode, Windey discussed her time on The Bachelor with hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, who asked about her ‘mindset’ while competing on the ABC series in 2022.

‘I’m like, I can fall in love with this toe-looking a**, skinny jean-wearing… This is my guy,’ she described in reference to how committed she was to falling for Echard. 

She continued to rip on her former flame, asking Yang and Rogers, ‘Have you seen his dancing videos? Oh, my god, they will make you run.’

‘I’m gonna send you one and [you’ll] wish you didn’t have eyes,’ the Traitors star teased.

Gabby also said that she ‘manipulated myself’ into having romantic feelings for Clayton.

The beauty is now out as a lesbian and married to comedian Robby Hoffman, who she wed on January 1.

‘The whole time I was thinking it’s me, you know? I’m like, “Why can’t I have a relationship?” I was obviously dating the wrong gender,’ she mused about previously thinking she was heteroSєxual. 

She went as far as saying she ‘gaslit’ herself into falling in love with Echard as she explained the dynamic of The Bachelor: ‘You’re in an environment [in which] the compeтιтion aspect is huge, you’re gaslighting yourself, that’s all you talk about in interviews, so you’re like, “Man, I really am in love with him.”‘

‘Thank god I escaped that by the skin of my teeth,’ she noted of being dumped by Clayton as a finalist in the season.

On Instagram, Clayton called Gabby out directly, adding in his caption, ‘You have a mᴀssive platform and influence, Gabby. So, I hope you can reflect upon this moment and be better going forward.’

And he said in the recording, ‘Gabby, what you’re doing is bullying. There’s no other way around it. You’re attacking me for my physical appearance, you’re attacking me for a pᴀssion that I love that’s changed my life. It’s unnecessary and it’s not funny.’

He urged her to use her platform for good, adding, ‘You have such a large platform and you’re setting a really bad example, which is just disheartening. 

‘I don’t want people to be scared to try something new because [of] bullying online, like what you’re doing. Do better, Gabby.’

It was also noted that dancing ‘has brought so much self-love and self confidence that I’m truly so grateful to have found something that I get to [use to] work on myself every day and challenge myself.’

Echard admitted, ‘I’m not the greatest at it and I’m aware of that. I’m not delusional but it’s me versus me every single day I get into that studio, and it’s movement therapy and it’s allowed me to release a lot of my anger and frustrations.’

Clayton also told his 284,000 followers that it’s been three years since he’s spoken to his ex love interest.

He received plenty of support in the comments, including input from Golden Bachelorette Joan Vᴀssos.

She wrote, ‘It’s shocking that anyone feels it’s ok to bully but especially adults who know better. I’m sure Gabby thought she was being entertaining and funny but it’s not when it’s at the expense of someone else’s feelings. 

‘What kind of example are we showing the youth of today when someone they look up to and admire because they had the privilege to be on tv acts like this. They are learning from us and we need to be better. Thank you Clayton for speaking out and keep on dancing my friend!’

Windey has yet to respond to Echard’s plea for kindness and call for an end to bullying.
