Lil Yachty lashed out at a member of the audience during his performance in the Washington, DC Friday after apparently calling for a moment of silence for his late friend Juice WRLD.

The rapper, 27, who recently called the Black Lives Matter movement ‘a scam’ shouted angrily at a person who yelled something out and told the audience member to ‘shut the f**k up!’

The explosive moment was seen in video shared by Rap-Up on social media.

When audience members pointed out the interloper, the Love Music artist encouraged them to then shame him by booing him. 

‘He did NOT like that. #LilYachty asked for a moment of silence for #JuiceWRLD, and a fan got a disrespectful,’ the outlet reported.

Juice WRLD died on an accidental overdose in 2019, and Lil Yachty often asks his audience to participate in a moment of silence for the Billboard Music Award winner.

Lil Yachty has been on the road as part of the Chromakopia tour with Tyler, The Creator and the duo Paris Texas.

The Flex Up rapper often asks for the moment of silence during his performance. 

‘He did this at every show I think atp so this was his last nerve,’ a fan wrote.

‘Serves him right,’ one commenter said of the person who shouted, adding,  ‘should’ve everyone should’ve picked him up & pᴀssed him to the exit door.’

Others commented that Lil Yachty should be over his friend’s death by now. 

‘Didn’t Juice Wrld die like 8 years ago??? Why are we still having a “moment of silence” for him???’ one asked. 

‘ik its disrespectful but can we stop the juice glaze bro, his music wasn’t even that good,’ contended another. 

‘No way we still grieving these drug addicts,’ stated a follower.  

A similar situation took place in Pittsburgh on March 28 and the Pardon Me artist responded angrily then.

In an interview shared by ATROP1X on TikTok in Summer 2024, Lil Yachty spoke of his admiration for Juice WRLD.

‘He was really smart and really talented and rapping was something that he was extremely good at,’ the hitmaker said of the Wishing Well artist. 

‘He had a nice voice, he could sing and it didn’t take him long… he just painted it,   he’s the first person I ever worked with musically that just literally, he made songs in one take.’

Lil Yachty may have to prepare for more unwelcome interruptions as fans learn about his outbursts. Dozens of shows are scheduled for the rest of the Chromakopia tour, which will continue through September 4.
