Tarek El Moussa has revealed what he did to grow a thicker head of hair.

The 43-year-old real estate entrepreneur — who is married to Heather Rae Young, 37— owned up to undergoing a cosmetic procedure, after dodging rumors that he wore a toupee during the latest installment of HGTV’s The Flip Off.

Dishing to Page Six this week, he refuted claims that he uses a hairpiece. 

‘Here’s what I did: I got PRP injections in my head, which caused my hair to grow in fuller,’ the father-of-three, who was formerly married to Christina Haack, confessed.

Platelet-Rich Plasma, abbreviated as PRP, is formed when clinicians take a blood sample from the patient and filter out other components of the blood to concentrate them within the plasma, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Tarek also told the publication that his wife introduced him to a collagen-boosting micro-needling procedure, which he has done on his face every six weeks.

Outside of that, he also sees clinicians for laser resurfacing. 

‘The other six weeks, they fry [my skin] with a laser. Then I rotate [between the procedures] every six weeks and that’s why my skin looks better,’ he explained.

Continuing to list his cosmetic fixes, the reality television personality added that he also turns to Botox.

‘It really works actually. I was shocked,’ he said of the wrinkle-reducing results.

It comes more than ten years after he faced thyroid and testicular cancer in 2013. Then, months after going into remission, Tarek seriously injured his back.

Speaking to his resilience, the star noted, ‘Life’s been real tough. The public divorce, the heartbreak, the two cancers, the surgeries — I just got my *ss kicked for so long, but I never quit.’

He went on to say how grateful he is today for his health: ‘I have graтιтude for how I feel, because I feel good and I know what it’s like to not feel good.

‘Whenever I think something is going wrong, or if I’m in a bad spot or feeling pain, I take a moment, I remember my past and that this is nothing compared to what I’ve been through.’

Tarek has been busy promoting the latest season of his HGTV series Flipping 101.

Taking to social media this week, he promoted the show by sharing a slew of pH๏τos from his press tour with his one million followers.

El Moussa was married to Haack from 2009-2018 and the exes share daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, nine.

He married Heather in 2021 and the couple welcomed two-year-old son Tristan in January 2023.
