Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall ‘already eyeing second album’ after scoring smash hit solo success

She hasn’t even released her debut solo album yet.

However, former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall, 32, is already planning her second album after her debut solo single, Angel of My Dreams, was a huge hit, reaching the top 10 in the UK.

The singer, who began her solo career in the summer of last year after the band announced a hiatus in 2022, is reportedly back in the studio working on new material, according to The Sun.

With 2025 on her mind, Jade is also said to be brainstorming ideas for her first solo tour, which is scheduled for this autumn.

The highly anticipated tour will see her perform at medium-sized venues, including the 3,600-capacity Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, West London.

A source told the publication: ‘Jade is laser-focused on making this year a big one for her.

‘She’s been keen not to rush the first album, as she was finding her sound and footing as a solo artist. But now she’s feeling really confident and has big plans.

‘Her team are working on putting together a UK tour for the autumn, which she hopes will be big and bold.’

The source also mentioned that her BRIT Awards performance was a huge success, and Jade is hoping her tour will have the same energy.

They added that she’s just returned to the studio and is still finalising the direction for her second album.

MailOnline has contacted Jade’s representative for comment.

It comes after Jade revealed ‘a weight lifted off her shoulders when she turned 30’ as she opened up about how her new album helped her ‘find herself again’.

The star, who won Best Pop Act at this year’s BRIT Awards, is currently working on her debut solo album.

In a new interview with Puss Puss Magazine, Jade explained: ‘The album is a culmination of all the things I’ve wanted to say over the years.

‘I wanted this album to literally sound like I’m finding myself again, and I think you can hear that sonically.

‘I wanted the fans to be let in on that experience because that’s the truth, that was the process of this album – figuring out what my sound is.’

She admitted: ‘Literally the minute I turned 30 it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders and I stopped caring as much about what people think.

‘Which is lucky, because I feel like now I’m on my own, I’ll obviously get more scrutiny. There’s more of a magnifying glᴀss.

‘I think people still expect me to look like the 20-year-old girl that I was, but obviously, my body has changed.

‘I’m more than ready for my album to be out there. I get to do my own shows this year and I’ve got a bunch of festivals coming up. I’ve really missed being on stage. I just want the album to be out in the world so I can start writing again.’

For the cover shoot, Jade looked incredible as she put on a very leggy display in a ɴuᴅᴇ cardigan paired with matching shorts and heels.

She later slipped into a silky brown maxi dress as she posed up a storm, allowing her dark tresses to flow freely in loose curls.

It comes just after Jade released her new track, FUFN (F**k You For Now) last month.

The singer, who took home her first award as a solo artist, dropped her latest dramatic pop song.

Written by Jade with music icon RAYE, Dave Hamelin and co-produced by Lostboy, she sings ‘Don’t you tell me to calm down.’

The song was teased during the new Fendi campaign for their Mamma Baguette bag, which she stars in.

Jade said: ‘FUFN is the escalation of an argument we’ve all had, knowing it’s not the end but feeling all the anger in the moment.

‘It’s the channelling of female rage into a bada** big pop banger.’

The singer’s first solo track, Angel Of My Dreams, has been a huge commercial success, accumulating over 100 million streams to date.

It entered the UK Official Singles Chart at No.7, marking the third-highest new entry for a British artist last year.

Since then, Jade has released three more tracks: Midnight Cowboy. Fantasy, and IT Girl.
