Gisele Bundchen has rejected the highly coveted Met Gala invite for May it has been claimed.

This is a big blow for the annual fashion event that takes place in New York City as  many couture designers would love to dress the Brazilian bombshell.

But the 44-year-old beauty has a very personal reason for saying no to the glam affair.

According to TMZ, the looker wants to stay home with her new baby that she welcomed with her 37-year-old boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

Fans were hoping Gisele would make her red carpet debut with Valente at the gala but it won’t happen, the site insisted.

In past years, Gisele has had her husband Tom Brady on her arm, but they divorced in 2022.

This is the third child for the Brazilian supermodel who hails from Horizontina, Brazil. 

Gisele also has daughter Vivian Lake, 11, and son Benjamin Rein, 15, with ex-husband Brady, 47.

It remains unclear when Gisele and Joaquim welcomed the child but sources for the publication claim it was recent.

Bundchen was first linked to Valente in June 2023, a year after her divorce from Brady.

The Met Gala is the big opening party for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual fashion exhibition, which changes every year, and a fundraiser for the museum’s Costume Insтιтute. 

The name of the 2025 exhibition is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style and the dress code in called Tailored for You.

Vogue said the exhibition is ‘organized into 12 sections, each representing a characteristic that defines dandy style: Ownership, Presence, Distinction, Disguise, Freedom, Champion, Respectability, Jook (defined in Zora Neale Hurston’s “Characteristics of Negro Expression”—an important reference for the exhibition—as a space for dancing, drinking, and other leisure activities), Heritage, Beauty, Cool, and Cosmopolitanism.’

This claim comes after Gisele appeared in her first ad campaign since welcoming her third child.

Bundchen was representing the spring collection for Marc O’Polo, a Swedish-German company founded in 1967. 

The beach pH๏τo shoot was likely done early in the Brazilian beauty’s pregnancy as she had no visible bump.

In one of the image the catwalk veteran was bra-free as she wore an opened shirt and in another sH๏τ, the tan star was bra-free in a tank top. 

‘Nature-inspired sophistication: Linen, undyed cotton, and suede make enduring fashion statements. Effortlessly relaxed, with delicate transparency and light, summery layers,’ the Instagram caption for Marco Polo’s page read. 

The cover girl is said to be feeling ‘freer’ since beginning her relationship with Valente.

The supermodel ended her marriage with Tom in 2022 after their 13-year marriage after they had two children and a source has now said she ‘felt like she lived in Tom’s shadow for a long time’.

An insider made the comment to Page Six.

Gisele and Joaquim started dating in June 2023 and have kept a low profile since they had their first child together in early February.

A source added to Page Six Gisele is ‘grateful for what she had’ with former New England Patriots quarterback Tom.

But the insider stressed the model ‘feels freer’ with her jiu-jitsu trainer boyfriend.

And it was added the ex-girlfriend of тιтanic actor Leonardo DiCaprio is ‘absolutely loving this new chapter’ in her life.

Representatives for Brady and Bundchen did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

As the outlet previously reported, Tom was ‘stunned’ when he learned Gisele was having a child with Joaquim.

The model shared that she welcomed baby with Valente in February. The first name has not yet been shared

An insider said: ‘Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquim, but he never imagined they would be having a child together.

They added: ‘It just wasn’t something that was on his radar. So when Gisele broke the news to him, he was stunned, to say the least.’

Despite his initial reaction, Tom – now a Fox Sports NFL broadcaster – reached out to congratulate his ex-wife when news of the birth became public.

A source close to the NFL hero said he is happy for Gisele and wishes her ‘nothing but the best’.
