Liam Gallagher seen for the first time since abandoning his country life for London as he bundles up in a green anorak for a low-key dog walk – ahead of the Oasis reunion tour

Liam Gallagher was seen publicly for the first time since abandoning his country life for London as he took his dog ʙuттon for a low-key walk on Thursday.

The rocker, 52, bundled up in a dark green anorak while swaggering down the street, where he appeared to pull a number of animated facial expressions.

Liam appeared relaxed and at ease as he enjoyed the fresh air during the quality time with his pet pooch.

Keeping warm from the morning chill, he wore a green cap beneath his pulled-up hood, completing his chilled look with dark trousers and green trainers.

Liam’s dog walk in the capital comes after he quit country life for the city as he prepares for the Oasis reunion world tour, MailOnline revealed last month.

In March, Liam and fiancée Debbie Gwyther packed up and left their rented Cotswolds mansion, where they had spent the past year.

They quit the colossal 11-bed mansion, which was costing £19,000 a month to rent, and moved back to his villa in north London which was being renovated in his absence.

It is thought the decision was made as it will be easier for him to attend band rehearsals as Oasis play together for the first time in 16 years.

Liam is understood to have also grown disenchanted with Cotswolds life which had not provided the privacy for which he had hoped and proved more of a goldfish bowl.

A source close to the singer said: ‘It’s a six hour round trip from Gloucestershire to London and he was looking at a huge upsurge in commitments there so it just felt sensible to move back.

‘After all the hype the real preparations for the tour are finally happening and that means he needs to ‘be here now’…’

Debbie, 40, who is not only Liam’s partner but also his manager, changed the registered address of her company Fear PR from their old address in Stroud to Liam’s north London house address earlier last month.

The couple are expected to be based there full-time until the Oasis tour kicks off in Cardiff on July 4.

Liam bought the five-bedroomed mock-Tudor house on a quiet north London street back in May 2020.

It has spent much of the last year covered in scaffolding while it was renovated, while there are further plans to install a swimming pool.

Liam’s outing comes as his brother Noel has finally kicked off rehearsals for the H๏τly-anticipated Oasis comeback tour in the summer, according to new reports.

But with just months away from their on stage reunion, Liam is said to be prioritising ‘rest’ instead of getting back in the studio with his brother Noel, 57.

A source close to Noel told The Mirror: ‘Noel is often in and out of the studio working on things, he is a singer songwriter so it’s only natural.

‘But Liam is a singer and he has a long list of dates ahead of him with Oasis this year so he will not be overdoing rehearsals. After a big solo Definitely Maybe tour your last year, the main thing his voice needs at the moment is rest.

The Oasis Live 25 tour kicks off on 4 July at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before playing sell-out gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park, Wembley Stadium in London, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield stadium.

The pair will then embark on a global tour taking in shows in Japan, Argentina, the United States and Brazil.

However, Liam is planning on meeting with the band in May to rehearse for the shows.

The source added: ‘The plan is for the band to start meeting up in May. They will jam around and work out a set list and Liam will be the last one to join in with the vocals.’

MailOnline contacted Oasis for comment.
