The Smallville actress Erica Durance’s marriage of nearly 20 years is officially over.

Durance has finalized her divorce from her husband David Palffy, her rep told TMZ on Tuesday.

But the actress, who played Lois Lane on Smallville, may have now found her own Clark Kent after revealing over the weekend that she is seeing a new man.

The latest shakeup for the cast of Smallville comes after the series’ star Tom Welling was arrested for a DUI in Northern California earlier this year.

Durance’s rep revealed that she and Palffy had finalized their divorce last year, and since then she has already moved on to a relationship with a new man.

The actress was first reported to have separated from her then-husband in April 2023.

However, it wasn’t clear how long she and Palffy had been separated at the time, but her representative clarified that the two separated earlier in 2022. 

The news that her divorce has been finalized comes just as Durance revealed that she has moved on with a new man.

She reportedly debuted the relationship over the weekend with a since-expired Instagram Stories post featuring a pH๏τo of herself and her boyfriend.

‘To my magic man, Let’s keep walking together in the rain,’ she sweetly captioned the pH๏τo.

However, the Saving Hope star covered up his face with an emoji, and she doesn’t appear to have revealed his idenтιтy elsewhere. 

Durance’s representative did confirm she was dating someone, calling it a ‘great relationship.’

However, they declined to share her new boyfriend’s idenтιтy or reveal when they began dating.

Both Durance and her ex-husband Palffy were Canadian, and their divorce was carried out in Canada.

Prior to her relationship with Palffy, Durance was married to Wesley Parker from 1996 until their 1999 divorce. 

Palffy’s last credited performance on IMDb was from 2013, and he has primarily appeared on television in small supporting roles. 

His most prominent role was on Stargate SG-1, in which he appeared as the characters Anubis and Sokar in 11 episodes from 1999 to 2004. 

Durance is primarily known for her work in television, though she did play a lead in the direct-to-video sequel to The ʙuттerly Effect. 

After her breakout role in Smallville, she starred on the medical drama Saving Hope from 2012 to 2017. 

She also returned to superhero shows in recent years with a recurring role on Supergirl, as well as a return to playing Lois Lane on one episode of the short-lived Batwoman series in 2019.
