Emily Atack has reportedly landed a huge six-figure deal to be the face of PG Tips.

The actress, 35, who sH๏τ to fame as Charlotte Hinchcliffe on The Inbetweeners, is said to be joining the household brand’s much loved Monkey in new adverts as he comes out of retirement.

Emily’s new role will see her replace TV comic Johnny Vegas, who famously fronted the tea campaign alongside Monkey for several years. 

A source told The Sun: ‘The PG Tips campaigns are the stuff of TV legends, and execs wanted a bit of glamour for this one.

‘Emily is a household name and straddles all demographics — plus she genuinely loves a nice cuppa — so they felt she’d be perfect.’

The insider added: ‘The advert will go out later this year and is really good fun.’

PG Tip’s iconic mascot Monkey was officially retired in May 2024, with the brand saying at the time that it was a ‘well-deserved retirement’.

Top Boy star and former So Solid Crew member Ashley Walters, 42, then starred in a new campaign that same month – the first TV ad from the brand in eight years.

The Steve McQueen-directed advert starring Ashley was тιтled ‘Rock Solid’, with the full campaigning cost a whopping £12million and a soundtrack by Ezra Collective.

Emily’s new role comes as her memorable naked tennis scene in the smash hit series Rivals has been nominated at the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards.

The actress stripped off naked while starring as Sarah Stratton in Disney’s raucous comedy series, based off the 1988 novel Jilly Cooper.

The now-famous scene sees Emily’s character Sarah playing tennis with Alex Hᴀssell’s character Rupert Campbell Black while they were both naked.

The lovers are interrupted by Agatha (Bella Maclean) and Sarah strategically covers her modesty with tennis balls, while Rupert boldly bares all in the very racy scene.

It is one of the most notable from the Sєxy series and has been deemed as one of the most memorable TV moments of the year.

The scene is among the six nominees for the P&O Cruises Memorable Moment award at the 2025 TV BAFTAs.

After Emily’s ɴuᴅᴇ Rivals scene aired, the comedian was forced to hit back at trolls who targeted her with ‘Sєxually aggressive’ attention. 

Emily shared her frustration after receiving negative comments about the ɴuᴅᴇ scene and said it is her job and she is ‘playing a part’.

She told The Times: ‘I knew something like that would happen, just not this quickly. I’m at work, I’m playing a part, that scene is integral to the book. 

‘I am exactly where I need to be. I can’t control people’s Sєxually aggressive behaviour, but I can continue with my campaigning and fighting for women’s freedom.

‘I should be able to do a scene like this and not receive negative attention. The two should not go hand in hand.’

Emily slammed a woman for messaging her to say she should ‘expect messages’ when doing racy roles, and instead argued she shouldn’t have to quit her job because of cruel trolls.
