She’s known for her messy relationships while playing iconic character Mercedes McQueen on Hollyoaks.

But Jennifer Metcalfe showed fans that she keeps her own home very much in order, offering Instagram followers a sneak peek into her very tidy house on Wednesday.

The soap star, 41, could be seen wearing black leggings and a cropped light grey half-zip sweater as she gave a tour of the place.

In one snap, she sat on a dark grey rug with flowers, showing off an empty bedroom adorned with brand new storage units.

In another, Jennifer gave an insight into how she organises all her stuff, pulling out a drawer to reveal several clothes stowed away.

Further pictures showed more empty space, but for a large TV, and more packed cupboards and drawers.

She captioned the post: ‘Every home I have had I have had kitted out with @hammonds_uk .. amazing to deal with from start to finish. Their design team are so creative they can for fill your dreams or if u haven’t a clue they can give u inspo for your soon to be favourite organised space. 

‘I recently decluttered all of my clothes as I had wayyy too many I couldn’t see what I had. Now All my lovely clothes have a space and I find piecing together outfits a dream coz I know where everything is. 

‘I opted for willesley in white design as I wanted a timeless, sleek, traditional look to fit in with the rest of my house and I was not disappointed ❤️I highly recommend these guys to anyone who is looking at creating maximum storage that looks incredible too xx’ 

In another Instagram story, she showed off her spotless space, which boasts a monochrome theme consisting of clean white walls, black door frames, white marble surfaces, white cupboards and drawers, and light grey carpet.

Jennifer enjoyed some chill time in her bedroom, which features illuminating sky windows, before doing some washing up in her kitchen, which is open plan and also has black cupboards to complement the rest of the interior design.

Keeping up with the theme, her bathroom meanwhile has grey walls and a large mirror. 

Jennifer’s character Mercedes is a member of the famous McQueen clan which has featured iconic characters such as Cleo (Nadine Mulkerrin) and Goldie (Chelsee Healey). 

The house tour comes after the actress showed off her incredible figure in a sophisticated black gown with a dainty gold halter-neck strap at the 2025 Broadcast Awards last month.

The place consists of clean white walls, black door frames, white marble surfaces, white cupboards and drawers, and even a black drinks fridge

Jennifer then took a trip around her home, carrying a bottle of water as she pᴀssed through black door frames and walked along white-walled hallways

The actress also enjoyed some chill time in her bedroom, which features illuminating sky windows and a dark grey rug – with a flowery pattern

She added to her frame with a pair of black strapped heels and accessorised with a gold watch as she arrived at the awards ceremony.

Jennifer completed her look with a black round clutch bag.

She was joined at the event by Hollyoaks co-stars Kieron Richardson and Kéllé Bryan as they celebrated the show being nominated for Best Soap/Continuing Drama.

Last October, she posted a series of romantic moments with her boyfriend Josh from a past lavish getaway trip together, including one of them sharing a pᴀssionate kiss. 

The star had been single since 2020, when she split from Greg Lake, with whom she has six-year-old son Dayne.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, last year Jennifer admitted: ‘I have recently been spending time with someone and he makes me feel happy.

‘I look forward to seeing him and our time together is always lovely.’

The pair were first spotted together on a stroll in Cheshire in December, but Jennifer chose not to name him publicly at that time.

The star also admitted that prior to meeting her new man she gave celebrity dating app Raya a try, but never actually went on a date.

She explained: ‘I tried that celebrity dating app Raya but I never went on a date.

‘I prefer to meet someone and get an idea of them in real life before dating, so that app got deleted quickly.’

Jennifer added that her work, playing Mercedes in the Cheshire soap, and being a mum to Daye takes up so much of her time that she didn’t have the capacity to meet up with strangers off the app.
