Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal show off their close friendship as they lark around while leading the stars at The Last Of Us season two premiere

Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal appeared to be in jovial spirits as they stepped out at The Last Of Us season two premiere on Monday night.

The co-stars have won over fans with their sweet friendship ever since the first series of the wildly popular post-apocalyptic TV show debuted on HBO in January 2023.

And the duo once again showed off their close bond as they larked around on the red carpet while celebrating the return of the series, based on the video game of the same name.

Bella, 21, and Pedro, 49, appeared to be in excellent form as they laughed together before larking around in front of people dressed as the show’s Clickers.

They were seen pulling terrified faces while standing in front of the zombie-like characters and flashed huge smiles as they appeared delighted to be back on the press trail together.

For the premiere, Bella – who uses they/them pronouns – cut a sophisticated figure in an emerald green suit decorated with love hearts and cherubs.

The Game of Thrones star’s blazer also featured the lyrics to Enjoy Yourself (It’s Later Than You Think) by Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians printed down the back.

Bella completed their look with black platform boots and slicked their brunette locks back into a sleek ponytail as they took to the red carpet.

Meanwhile, Pedro cut an equally trendy figure in a bright blue turtleneck jumper and leather-look trousers, which he styled with a green and navy plaid jacket.

The Mandalorian actor kept comfortable in a pair of black boots and he framed his face with orange-tinted shades to complete his look.

They were also joined at the premiere by their castmates Isabela Merced and Kaitlyn Dever, who have both joined the cast for season two, which premieres on April 13.

Isabela, who will portray Dina – the new love interest of Bella’s character Ellie, showed off her incredible figure in a strapless black gown with a glitzy silver bodice.

The Instant Family star put on a very leggy display in the daring ensemble and added a few extra inches to her frame with a pair of platform peep-toe heels.

She shared a close embrace with Bella on the carpet as the co-stars appeared as close as ever after discussing their ‘undeniable’ on-screen chemistry.

Elsewhere, Apple Cider Vinegar star Kaitlyn, who is joining season two as Abby, put on a very elegant display in a strapless black lace gown.

The actress, 28, let her outfit do all the talking as she kept her accessories minimal while storming the star-studded premiere.

Also in attendance were the likes of singer Tia Carrere, Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause and Ashley Scott, who voiced Maria in the original 2013 video game.

Series two will see Joel (Pedro) and Ellie’s ‘collective past catch up to them, drawing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind’, according to a synopsis.

Gabriel Luna is also returning to the cast as Tommy while Rutina Wesley will once again portray Maria.

Also joining the cast are Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac.

Like the video game’s Part II, season two is bound to raise the ire of fans of the first season as it upends alliances and introduces new characters.

Though the first instalment rose to critical acclaim, the show’s co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have hinted they there may not be endless series to come.

‘One of the notes that I resent the most is ‘We loved this thing — more of it, please!” Craig told Variety.

‘You love it because that’s the right amount of it. When you do more, what makes it special starts to dissipate. It becomes comfort food. And if there’s one thing about The Last of Us, it is not comfortable.’

While Neil added: ‘I hope this doesn’t sound arrogant. But I think you have to have a certain level of success to have the confidence to do what we’re doing, both in the game and in the show.

‘Because on paper, it looks so risky. But this is where I love working with Craig, because he thinks like me.

‘Sometimes, you have a feeling the story has to be this and only this, and you just have to commit.’

Neil also talked about not having the element of surprise because the show is based on a popular video game.

He said: ‘A lot of people who played the [first] game understood that Joel’s daughter was going to die very quickly in the first episode. Those people weren’t surprised. They felt it because it’s the journey.’

Neil also praised Craig, who created the video game, for his willingness to expand on his ideas on screen.
