Gogglebox fans have been left furious after the beloved Channel 4 show ‘ruined’ a brand-new Prime Video thriller during Friday’s episode.

The latest viewing featured TV’s most popular households watching their usual mix of gripping shows and exciting new series – including Fear.

Fear is an American, Martin Compston-fronted psychological thriller that spans just three episodes.

And Fans had eagerly awaited its release, drawn by a stellar cast including Compston (Line of Duty), Anjli Mohindra, James Cosmo, Solly McLeod, and Anneika Rose.

The series premiered earlier this month, but in an unexpected move, Gogglebox aired its final episode, ultimately spoiling the ending before many viewers had a chance to watch it.

Flocking to X (formerly Twitter), furious Channel 4 viewers raged that there was now ‘no point’ in watching the Amazon series since they already knew the finale.

The new show follows a young family who move into a huge house in Glasgow, where everything initially seems perfect.

Husband Martyn (Martin) is a high-flying architect with an ego to match. He is deeply in love with his scientist wife, Rebecca (Anjli), and together they adore their new home, as do their children.

Their situation appears even better when they meet their downstairs neighbor, Jan, who always shows up at exactly the right time, with exactly what they need, and always knows exactly what to say.

But something feels off. The family begins to sense something strange, and as they unravel the truth, the thriller slowly reveals its unsettling mystery.

The story primarily explores Martyn’s ego, using the eerie happenings in the house to expose his flaws. It also examines how easily truth can be distorted in the digital age and how stories can be seen from only one perspective.

The spoiler comes after Martin  insisted that there is ‘nothing coming soon’ for Line Of Duty.

The 40-year-old actor is best known for playing Detective Inspector Steve Arnott on the hit BBC police drama from 2012 until 2021 over the course of all six series.

The popular BBC show wrapped up four years ago, and fans are desperate to know if there will ever be another instalment after their disappointment over the idenтιтy of H.

But in an interview with The Sun, Martin confessed that he was busy filming other shows and implied that there nothing currently in the works for the show.
