Damian Lewis cosied up to girlfriend Alison Mosshart at Masterpiece’s Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light special screening in New York on Thursday.

The actor, 54, who portrays portrays Henry VIII in the period drama, looked in great spirits as he wrapped an arm around his rocker love, 46, as they posed for snaps.

Damian cut a smart figure for the evening, donning a brown pinstriped suit worn over a dark grey short.

Meanwhile, The Kills frontwoman Alison opted for an edgy red and brown striped blazer which she wore with a white shirt and black skinny jeans and boots. 

Damian and Alison have been dating for two years, after they were first spotted together in the summer of 2022. 

Romance blossomed a year after Damian’s wife of 14 years, Helen McCrory, tragically pᴀssed away in April 2021 after a secret battle with breast cancer, aged 52.

Shortly after Helen’s death, Damian wrote a heartbreaking tribute to his late wife in The Times where he revealed she wanted him to find love again – joking his children have said that their mother ‘wanted daddy to have lots of girlfriends’.

Meanwhile at the screening, Damian happily mingled with his co-stars including Mark Rylance, who plays Thomas Cromwell.

The pair also stopped for a snap with screenwriter Peter Straughan, who adapted Hilary Mantel’s novels for the screen.

Also in attendance was Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who looked typically chic as she posed alongside Damian and MeiraGTx CEO Zandy Forbes.

Damian looked ever the proud dad as he wrapped his arms around his daughter Manon, 18, and son Gulliver, 16, who he welcomed with his late wife Helen McCrory. 

Peaky Blinders actress Helen died from breast cancer in April 2021 aged just 52, having kept her diagnosis a secret as she continued to work.

Manon cut a chic figure in a classic Burberry trench coat over charcoal grey trousers, teamed with a green handbag for a pop of colour.

While Gulliver looked the spitting image of his famous dad, wearing a navy coat over striped trousers and the same scarf as Damian. 

Damian spoke about the qualities his children had inherited from their mother in a sweet tribute to Helen in The Times, as he opened up on the absence her death had left in their lives.

He said: ‘She’s left our beautiful children, Manon and Gully, too early, but they have been prepared for life.

‘They have in them the fearlessness, wit, curiosity, talent and beauty of their mother. She has exhorted us to be courageous and not afraid. 

‘As she said repeatedly to the children, “Don’t be sad, because even though I’m about to snuff it, I’ve lived the life I wanted to”.’

Their fashion week outing comes after Damian revealed what life is really like with his ‘noisy family’ and the one mistake he thinks he made with his children.

He opened up about his very private family life to Nick Grimshaw and Angela Harnett on an episode of their podcast Dish in October, telling them that while the family all get on very well, he is no longer allowed to cook for his daughter.

The Wolf Hall star explained: ‘Yeah, I do cook. I like it. My daughter won’t let me cook for her anymore. She’s vegetarian and she’s become very particular about how she cooks. I bought her an air fryer’.
