Christiano Ronaldo has revealed he will only marry his partner Georgina Rodriguez when they “get that click”.

The footballer, 40, has been in a relationship with the Spanish model, 31, since 2016 and they have daughters Alana, seven, and two-year-old Bella together. She is also the stepmother of his other three children.

The couple have never publicly confirmed whether they are engaged or not but Georgina’s friends have asked when he will finally marry her.

In an interview for her Netflix reality show I Am Georgina, the model told how she has been teased by friends over when she will get married.

She said: ‘They’re always joking about the wedding. “When is the wedding?” Since Jennifer Lopez’s song “The Ring Or When” came out, they started singing it to me. And well, this is not up to me.’

But Ronaldo insisted he will marry her when they get “that click”, meaning when the timing is right and everything in their lives has fallen into place.

He said: ‘I always tell her, “when we get that click.” Like everything with our life, and she knows what I’m talking about. 

‘It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I’m 1000% sure that it’ll happen.’

It comes after the footballer paid tribute to his partner on her birthday in the most Ronaldo way possible – by sharing a pH๏τo of them working out in the gym together.

‘For the mother, partner, friend, my wife… happy birthday, love,’ he wrote on Instagram.

‘Your light illuminates us and your love infects us,’ he added, alongside a heart emoji. 

On her Instagram page, Georgina shared how she had been showered in gifts by loved ones.

The model showed off a bouquet with a collection of roses shaped like a heart in the middle, a pink gift bag of Laverne perfume – created by herself – and a snap of her celebrating with a cake. 

Along with another gift, a loved one had presented her with a note which read: ‘One of a kind piece for a one of a kind Georgina’.

Ronaldo had previously sparked rumours that they are secretly married multiple times by referring to Rodriguez as his ‘wife’  

It is unclear if these specific gifts were from Ronaldo. 

While the lovebirds haven’t tied the knot publically, Ronaldo has referred to Rodriguez multiple times as his wife before this post.

In December, at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, where he won two awards, he said: ‘It’s a big pleasure to win this trophy. My oldest son is here, my wife [Georgina] is here.’

Moreover, In a game of Mr. and Mrs. which the football ace published on his new YouTube channel back in late August, Ronaldo referred to her as his ‘wife’.

In the same video, the couple also appeared to be wearing wedding rings.

Following the surprise тιтle, another video resurfaced, where he casually called Georgina his wife whilst discussing his morning routine.

Speaking on the WHOOP podcast, he said: ‘I take my coffee when I start my day. It’s my routine..in the morning, I take my coffee, speak with my kids, with my wife and start the day.’
