‘They’re both garbage’: Fired The Apprentice stars hit back as Lord Sugar makes show history failing BOTH teams in boardroom bloodbath over H๏τ sauce challenge

Fired The Apprentice stars Melica Moshiri and Emma Street have hit back after being booted off the show on Thursday night after Lord Sugar made show history again by failing both teams.

It comes after viewers were left lost for words after last week’s double elimination where he sensationally fired Frederick Afrifa, 29, before he even made it to the boardroom, who was followed out the door shortly afterwards by Keir Shave, 27.

Week eight saw the two teams battle it out to create the best new H๏τ sauce on the market, each tasked with creating the recipe, branding it and shooting a TV advert for their product, which they then had to pitch to a panel of industry experts.

Lord Sugar was left unimpressed with both their products Bangin’ and Umami Mami, labelling them ‘garbage’ and ruling that one person from EACH team would be going home.

Parallel team leader Amber decided to bring back Melica and Dean Franklin, while Ascendency project manager Mia Collins picked Emma and Anisa Khan.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline about her departure from the show, Melica said: ‘Overall, our team should have won, because our sauce was because, you know, have consistency. It was edible. It did actually taste nice, although it was very H๏τ, people did like it.

‘But the other team, their sauce wasn’t consistent. You know, you couldn’t even get out the bottle. I think if we added one more ingredient in, we would have probably won that task.

‘Whether I was the right person to be fired… I think if Amber had brought in different people then no, but because she brought in Dean and myself, I don’t think Lord Sugar had a choice.

‘And what he did say to me in the boardroom is that I’m going [with] my gut instinct, I might be making a big mistake ‘Melica you’re fired’, which is great.

‘I actually liked that. I thought was a real compliment. But I think he had a very hard decision.

‘I find he generally likes people taking accountability for things… I took accountability for me being disruptive.’

Melica’s team created Umami Mami, a sweet H๏τ sauce with mango, saffron and rose petals. However critics said the sauce was missing the savouriness of umami as they claimed customers may be disappointed by the flavour – and the thickness meant they couldn’t get it out of the bottle.

They suffered an embarrᴀssment while conducting market research as no one said they would buy it.

Candidates Anisa and Jordan were tasked with creating the sauce but they struggled to decide on a flavour combination – meaning they ran out of time and the branding team were forced to film the advert without a bottle as they didn’t manage to make a sample.

Meanwhile the other sauce, Bangin’, was a fiery H๏τ sauce with formerly record-breaking chilli pepper Carolina Reaper at the centre of it with tomato and honey flavourings. While pitching, Bangin’ was called boring as a result of the flavours.

H๏τ sauce legend Levi Roots was quick to slam Bangin’ for a spelling mistake on their branding, as they missed off the apostrophe.

And Melica also shared the moment that she knew that Lord Sugar was going to fire her – the moment she revealed who she thought he should fire.

‘When he asked me, at that point, I knew he was gonna point the finger at me. Yes. Knew it.

‘The fact he asked me, I knew he was just gonna point the finger at me. But rather than just saying no, saying, “No, do you know what? It’s me.” I’ll just say both of them.’

Meanwhile corporate project manager Emma, from team Ascendancy, was also booted off the show on Thursday.

One of their biggest blunders from her team was that they produced a TV advert without actually showing their actual product.

When asked who was the reason behind the failure of the task, Emma believes that it was due to the sub team – which was made up of Anisa and Jordan Dargan.

She told us: ‘I think the reason why there wasn’t a product in the advert was due to the sub team.

‘And the reason why you couldn’t get sauce at the bottom was due to the sub team.

‘I think that caught us a lot of that heat.

‘However, Jordan is also in that team. And I didn’t really hear Jordan’s name mentioned. I mentioned it in the loser’s cafe a few times, but, yeah, I think the heat all lands on Anisa, which I think was a bit unfair.

‘Either person could have got that sauce delivered or fixed the viscosity of the sauce.

‘So the sub team was at fault for this task.’

Although their gutted to be out of the compeтιтion, the pair are happy that they took part in the show and have got some exciting things coming up.

Melica told us: ‘I’ve got a few events to attend to next week, and some of them are focused on just business networking.

‘I’ve been invited by, I’m not going to name the company, but I’ve been invited by a big corporate company for a Nowruz party, Iranian New Year. Really, really exciting.

‘It’s like a big, global company. I’ve also got an event coming up, I’ve got another exciting women leadership event coming up in April.

‘I’m on the panel at The  University Of Brighton as well next month.’

And Emma teased some other work that has to be kept under wraps.

Emma said: ‘It’s been really good since the show. You know, it’s been fantastic to watch it back, relive the experience.

‘It would have been very handy to have a £250k investment into my business plan, so I’m just kind of seeing what I can get in the pipeline, and staying tuned on socials now.

‘It was funny, because in the boardroom, you don’t see it, when Lord sugar says, “oh, you know, Starbucks should invest in your business plan.”

She quipped: ‘They could have aired it. You could have given them a nudge! You’ve got contacts Lord Sugar!’
