Kate cut a cheerful figure at the game, bringing along her two sons and one of her nieces to sit courtside and see the Lakers secure a 120-108 win over the Nuggets.

She was spotted intensely watching the action and cheering on the Lakers with her eldest child Ryder, 21, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson.

She also cosied up to pose for a snap with her second son Bingham, 13, who she welcomed with her ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy.

While Kate was also joined by her 11-year-old niece Rio, who is the daughter of Kate’s elder brother Oliver Hudson and his wife Erinn Bartlett.

Her appearance at the game comes after Kate announced Netflix had renewed her critically-acclaimed show Running Point for a second season.

The series was watched by 12.2 million people last week, after the 10-episode basketball comedy premiered February 27.

Kate executive produced and starred in the show created by Mindy Kaling and loosely based on Jeanie’s own journey to becoming president of the Lakers after her father’s death.

The pair already shared a long history together as Kate’s famous parents would often bring her to games, with Jeanie telling the The Hollywood Reporter: ‘She was somebody that I’ve known since she was a teenager’.

Running Point also features Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, and Max Greenfield.

Kate is the the daughter of Oscar-winning actress Goldie Hawn and musician Bill, who divorced when she was 18 months old.

She and older brother Oliver were raised by her mother and her long-term boyfriend Kurt Russell, with Kate previously stating she is not close with her biological father and considers Kurt to be her dad.

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star was married to Chris from 2000 until 2006, and began dating Muse’s Matt in 2010, getting engaged in April the following year.

They broke up in 2014 and Kate began dating current fiancé Danny Fujikawa in 2016, with the couple going on to welcome daughter Rani, six, in 2018.

Earlier last year, the Oscar nominee opened up about managing the dynamics of her ‘patchwork’ family.

She told People: ‘We are very connected, and we are very close. Love can change form. It’s interesting when you have that modern family; there’s so much love for all the kids!

‘I think the thing that’s so unique about my life is that in this very patchwork family, we all have figured it out … The kids feel like they have this huge family.

Kate noted that even her exes’ children are ‘like sisters’ to her youngest and that her clan has been ‘nurtured’ in a way that she believes is not all too common.

She said: ‘My exes’ daughters and Rani are like sisters … There is something that has been able to be nurtured in our family that is personally what I think is, it’s very rare.

Kate is said to be ‘so happy’ to have what she calls a ‘real family unit’ around her because she can see everyone feels ‘safe’ amid the setup.

She said: ‘I’m like ‘Yea, bring her over!’ And I’m sitting with all the kids and I’m like, I am so happy we have this real family unit that’s big. It’s beautiful.

‘Everybody’s open to it and understands it’s the most mature thing for the kids. And you can see it in them — they feel loved, they feel protected, they feel safe.’
