Demi Lovato is ‘still recovering’ over filming herself asking ChatGPT to brutally roast her last Saturday about her musical rebrands, frozen yogurt scandal, and changing pronouns.

The 32-year-old pop star had enlisted her backup vocalist-turned-fiancé Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes to read the mostly scathing response from OpenAI’s chatbot aloud.

‘Roast Demi Lovato? Oh, you mean the artist formerly known as “Confident” but now more like confused?’ the 33-year-old groom-to-be read while smiling.

‘Demi Lovato has had more rebrands than a failing fast food chain. One minute they’re punk rock, the next they’re singing pop ballads, and somewhere in between they’re beefing with a frozen yogurt shop.’

The chatbot was referring to the Karen-like ‘diet food’ war Demi waged against LA frozen yogurt shop The Bigg Chill in 2021 which ‘triggered’ her eating disorder, but she’s since sparked Ozempic rumors for her dramatic 50lb weight-loss in 2023.

2021 was the same year Lovato shaved her head and came out as non-binary – switching to they/them pronouns – but she had returned to she/her by 2022.

‘Like babes, just pick a lane or at least a consistent genre,’ Jutes continued.

‘What’s wrong with being confident? Nothing Demi, but what’s wrong with being consistent? Because your career path is giving throwing darts at a vision board while blindfolded.’

The Canadian musician concluded on a nicer note: ‘But hey, credit where credit is due, Demi’s voice is undeniable. If only their decision-making skills were as strong as their vocal cords.’

On Monday, Demi – who has 217.1M social media followers – shared a TikTok update that claimed ChatGPT roasted her ‘a little too hard’ and she was ‘still recovering [to be honest] due to her ‘thin skin.’

It’s only been a little more than a month since OpenAI officially launched ChatGPT Search to compete with Google, which is now available to everyone with or without an account.

On March 28, Lovato will celebrate the 34th birthday of Jutes, whom she got engaged to back in December 2023.

The Child Star co-director originally met the Vertigo rocker in January 2022 while recording her eighth studio album Holy Fvck and they even got matching tattoos of their track – 4 Ever 4 Me – which she wrote especially about him.
