Kate Moss harked back to her wild partying days as she was spotted puffing on a cigarette while holding a beer as she strutted down a London street on Friday. 

The supermodel, 51, recently sparked concern among her fanbase after being filmed looking ‘fraught’ and ‘on edge’ as she sat front row at Paris Fashion Week.

And days after her fashion show appearance, Kate didn’t appear to have a care in the world as she took a deep drag of her cigarette while clutching onto a open bottle of Corona beer during the leisurely stroll.

Cutting a typically stylish figure, she sported a black top and blazer which she paired with blue jeans and high-heel boots.

The image of Kate with a beer and fag in hand is in stark contrast to the clean-living persona she’s had in recent years following her heyday in which she was nicknamed ‘The Tank’ by friends for her love of substances.

Kate was thought to have given up alcohol back in 2017 in favour of juice fasts and reformer Pilates, even selling her own range of teas and skincare products through her beauty and wellness brand, Cosmoss.

It comes days after the supermodel, 51, recently sparked concern among her fanbase after being filmed looking ‘fraught’ and ‘on edge’ as she sat front row at Paris Fashion Week .

And while she has long struggled to give up her nicotine habit, just two years ago Kate – once hailed the ‘greatest smoker of all time’ – was seen puffing away on a vape in an attempt to give up the cigarettes. 

Back in January, Kate was reportedly planning a huge boozy birthday bash to celebrate her 51st birthday following her split from boyfriend of nine years, Nikolai von Bismarck, 38.

Kate, who lived in the Cotswolds with teetotal pH๏τographer Nikolai, apperently decided at the time that she ‘wants to let her hair down’ to mark her birthday with her famous pals. 

A source told The Sun: ‘Last year, she celebrated her 50th at an intimate soiree in Paris, which was fairly pared down.

‘But a lot has changed since then and Kate has said she wants this party to be like turning over a new leaf.

‘Now that her daughter Lila is all grown up and she is single again, Kate feels like she wants to let her hair down and be carefree — which is not something she’s been able to do for a long time.

‘She is looking on the bright side of life. Although it’s sad her relationship is over, she is throwing herself back into her social life and embracing the new year.’ 

She went on to start her new chapter celebrating her 51st birthday at A-list restaurant China Tang at The Dorchester before continuing her night until the early hours at The Globe in London’s Notting Hill.

It came after insiders claimed Kate and her former boyfriend parted ways due to friction stemming from their different approaches to life.

A source told The Sun the exes remain on good terms but ‘have been on and off for months’, and eventually Kate felt the time was right to move on and cut ties.

‘She felt they were going on different journeys in life. And, at 50, Kate feels fabulous and like she wants to get back out there and have some fun in time for Christmas.

‘Despite being 13 years her junior, Nikolai wants to enjoy a quieter life. He remains on his sober path and they just have increasingly different hobbies and wants.

Representatives for Kate were contacted by MailOnline for comment at the time. 

Her apparent new zest for life comes after she sparked concern while attending the Isabel Marant fall 2025 ready-to-wear showcase last Thursday.

In a clip shared by publications including Elle and Lewis Magazine, Kate moves back and forth in her chair as she speaks to other fashion goers at the event and poses for pH๏τographers.

She is seen hugging a woman sat behind her before being heard saying ‘let me just do this’, as she turns to face forward so the picture takers can get the best sH๏τ.

Kate is sat beside British fashion pH๏τographer David Sims, 58, who has worked with her since the 1990s.

But fans of the Croydon-born model have responded to the video, which has been circulating on Instagram and TikTok, with their concerns over her ‘frantic’ appearance.

Another commented: ‘I feel like I can’t breathe watching this’ while a third remarked: ‘I feel sad every time I see this.’

Four days ago, a TikTok user questioned why Elle magazine shared the clip, saying: ‘Why did they post this? Kate is seemingly not okay. Still pretty though.’

Another said: ‘Why is she so fidgety, this just makes me anxious.’  

Other commenters believe Kate was only moving frantically so the pH๏τographers could get her best angle.  

One said: ‘To be fair, every time I’ve seen her pose for paps, she’s always “snapped” into sH๏τ, so yeah she’s moving a bit strange but it’s normal for her.’  

‘She doesn’t want to smile for cameras but smiles at her friends before ‘the look’ at the camera… People just want to hate’, a TikTok user claimed.  

Kate has been attending Paris Fashion Week alongside her model daughter Lila, 22, who has walked multiple shows including the Coperni Fall/Winter 2025 event.

On Tuesday evening, the duo attended the closing Saint Laurent show with fellow guests Hailey Bieber and Zoe Saldana. 

During her time in Paris for Fashion Week, it’s believed Kate stayed at the Ritz, which she has previously called her ‘home away from home.’ 

Kate, who’s still as in demand as she was in her 90s heyday, has sat front row at numerous Fashion Week shows this year including Stella McCartney in London, New York’s Donna Karan and Dior’s fall menswear show, which took place in Paris.

The mother-of-one has been supporting her model daughter Lila during the busy fashion month as she starred in several designer showcases. 

Lila, who walked the Burberry and Stella McCartney shows, also attended several elegant dinner parties alongside her famous mother including east London designer Aaron Esh’s stylish event, which took place last month.
