Oprah Winfrey didn’t let a little thing like rain get in the way of her workout Friday.

The media icon, 71 — who some fans have called ‘a walking Ozempic billboard’ — showcased her fit form as she headed into the gym in Santa Barbara, California.

The two-time Oscar nominee covered up in a black waterproof jacket with a hood covering her shoulder length locks.

The Oprah Winfrey Show host showcased her fit form in bronze leggings with a black design and white sneakers with a two-tone brown striped sweater.

Winfrey donned round framed glᴀsses for her trip and carried a small purse for her phone. 

Although not hosting her daily talk show anymore, the multi-faceted star has been keeping busy with her Oprah’s Book Club and her new podcast.

The Oprah Podcast was launched in December 2024.

‘Connecting with people about what matters to us, as we all continue to reach our highest, truest potential is what I’m most interested in offering at this time in my life,’ she wrote on social media announcing the start of the program.

On the first episode, Winfrey tackled the ‘did she’ or ‘didn’t she’ question about whether she had used a weight loss drug to help her shed a considerable amount of weight.

The drugs mimic the hormone GLP-1, which the body releases after eating, helping people feel full and slowing stomach emptying. 

Winfrey did not reveal which medication she has used. 

‘One of the things that I realized the very first time I took a GLP-1 was that all these years I thought that thin people just had more willpower, they ate better foods, they were able to stick to it longer, they never had a potato chip,’ she told the audience.

‘Then I realized the very first time I took the GLP-1 that, “Oh, they’re not even thinking about it. They’re only eating when they’re hungry, and they’re stopping when they’re full.”‘ 

The Color Purple star said she has come to realize food addiction is a disease, just like alcoholism.

In 2023, the media mogul (left in 2023 and right in 2019) finally admitted to using an undisclosed GLP-1 — a type 2 diabetes medication that can also aid in weight loss — to shed nearly 50 pounds after decades of yo-yo dieting. The admission came as a shock to fans as Oprah initially denied using weight-loss meds to slim down and even went as far as to slam the method as an ‘easy way out’ 

‘People still don’t understand it. They want to blame other people for it, they want to say put your fork down and quit eating those brownies or those potato chips.’

Winfrey said she was reluctant to use the medications to lose weight, because she felt like it was cheating.

‘I’ve got to prove this one last time I could do it by myself… I don’t want to take the easy way out.’

Winfrey said she has come to realize that taking the medication for the disease of obesity is not the easy way out and that weight gain ‘is a symptom of’ obesity.
