The feud between Jack Fincham and Danny Dyer has reignited, six years after Jack’s split from Dani Dyer.
Tensions escalated after the EastEnders actor made fresh comments during his appearance on the Table Manners podcast, suggesting Jack wasn’t the same person in real life as he appeared on Love Island.
Jack, 32, has now fired back, questioning why Danny continues to take digs at him, especially given his own past struggles.
He told The Sun: ‘I am just trying to move on with my life, I’m not sure why Danny a few times now has gave me a backhanded dig or insult, especially as I looked up to him and he has had his own struggles a lot worse than mine.’
He added: ‘He is right I was different on telly as that was the real me, no drugs, no distractions just me living life. I let drugs and distractions and bad decisions change me back to who I didn’t want to be. But thank God I’m no longer the bad version of myself.’
A friend of Jack’s also described Danny’s remarks as disappointing, especially given the actor’s involvement in men’s mental health advocacy.

They noted that Danny is currently promoting Marching Powder, a film where he plays a jailed addict named Jack, making the timing of his comments particularly questionable.
Opening up they said: ‘Danny has not been whiter than white in his past so why he feels he can be so judgmental is wild.’
Jack has been open about his past struggles, admitting last month that addiction and reckless spending left him feeling like a failure.
He previously revealed he had blown over £1 million on drugs, alcohol, and gambling, which contributed to the breakdown of his relationship with Dani.
However, he has since made a commitment to change, quitting drinking at Christmas and celebrating his first sober New Year.
Jack and Dani won Love Island in 2018 but split less than a year later. While both have moved on with other partners – Jack is now dating TOWIE’s Chloe Brockett and Dani is engaged to footballer Jarrod Bowen, with whom she shares twin girls Summer and Star, one with – her father Danny has continued to take swipes at Jack.
Speaking on Table Manners with Jessie & Lennie Ware, the actor said he ‘didn’t really meet’ Jack and claimed he wasn’t the same person outside of the villa. He also suggested that reality TV doesn’t show people’s true personalities due to the controlled environment.
In a rare comment about his daughter’s ex, Danny told Jessie and Lennie: ‘I didn’t really meet him. To be honest with you, it turned out he wasn’t what he was on the telly.’

He went on: ‘If you think about you in a villa, it’s a structured show. There’s no phones, there’s no distractions. How real can you be? It’s only when you get out. And so look, they made a go of it. It didn’t work out.’
While the EastEnders star also revealed he was left ‘fuming’ after Love Island producers masterminded a twist in the show that convinced Dani that Jack was cheating on her in Casa Amor.
Dani was left inconsolable after being sent a video postcard showing a clip of Jack coming face to face with his ex girlfriend Ellie Jones, implying there was something unsavoury afoot.

Viewers blasted the ‘cruel’ decision, as Jack had barely spoken to Ellie and stayed loyal to Dani throughout, with 2,525 people complaining to Ofcom – breaking the then-record for the highest number of complaints in Love Island history.
Danny admitted he was also enraged by the scenes, saying: ‘They did a really mean thing on it as well, where they sort of made it look like he was cheating on her. I was fuming. I was like I want numbers, I want f**** numbers.
‘They pretended he was sleeping outside on a bed, and she was crying her eyes out, and I knew this was gonna happen to me. How could you do it to this poor child?’
‘So, yeah, really hard to watch, but she came out. She really just went with it. She got a clothing range. She’s such a beautiful kid. I’m so proud. I’m proud of all my babies.’
It’s not the first time Danny has taken a swipe at Jack, with the pair engaging in a foul-mouthed feud back in 2023.

After Jack was reportedly ‘arrested on suspicion of drug-driving’, Danny called him a ‘f***ing t***’ as he voiced his graтιтude that his daughter had found love with ‘amazing man’ Jarrod.
In quotes obtained by The Sun, he said: ‘My Dani has bought home some f****** t****. Sitting at my table on a Sunday, eating my leg of lamb.’
He continued: ‘You can’t tell your children who to fall in love with. You have to go with the the f****** flow. And then she bought home Jarrod Bowen. I earned him. He is a real amazing man.
‘So yeah… if all my dreams could come true… all I f****** want is for a man – or woman, whatever – to worship the f****** ground my daughter walks on.’
Jack then hit back at the Rivals star on his Instagram Stories, branding Danny as ‘pathetic’ and warning him to ‘expect consequences’.
He fumed: ‘A t***? I’ve never ate a leg of lamb at your house. If you have something to say about me, you know how to get hold of me, so don’t say things without expecting consequences because we know what happened last time don’t we Danny Dyer.’
While he then added in a video: ‘Do you know what? Normally I’d never ever ever ever react to what someone says about me in the press but the fact is, that certain person, I get asked about every single day no matter where I am.
‘I get asked ‘Did you meet her dad? What’s he like?’ And every single time I say ‘What a lovely fella, what a lovely geezer.’

‘And I say nothing but nice things, so for a fully grown man in his forties to say to the paper that I’m an ‘f***ing t***’, like I’m not having that. That’s pathetic. You can’t do things like that.’
Meanwhile, after being bailed from jail over his dog attacking a runner last month, Jack recently opened up on ‘blowing £1million on drugs, booze and gambling’ and how things got so bad he tried to end his life.
He confessed how his life took a bad turn thanks to his addictions, which at one point saw him spent a whopping £40,000 in one day on online Blackjack.
During an appearance on This Morning, Jack laid everything bare as he candidly admitted he didn’t have ‘any regard for himself’ and would often put himself in danger by driving recklessly.
Opening up in his first TV appearance since making the shocking admissions, he told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard how he blew the cash and lifted the lid on how his addictions took him down a dark path.
The reality star, who has been sober since Christmas Day, said: ‘It was awful. It always started out like you just have a drink then you end up taking other drugs, and then because you’ve taken so many of those I’d take others to go to sleep.
‘It’s a cycle, you’re alright for a few days. That’s why I always thought it wasn’t a problem because I’d have a few days off in between. But I then discovered another drug, an anti-anxiety drug and I became physically addicted to it and went to rehab.

‘My family and my relationship with Chloe [Brockett], they are all so supportive but how many more times can they say it’s okay now we’ll get through this? It got to the point where there was nothing to salvage.’
He continued: ‘I would be drinking and I wouldn’t be in my right mind so I convinced myself, I’ll go and win £100,000 today on Blackjack today – it was never going to happen.
‘This was only ever when I was intoxicated. I was doing £40,000 days, £5,000 hands on Blackjack. Who did I think I was?’
The reality star revealed: ‘I’ve wasted very close to £1million. It’s not even just that. The behaviour that I was doing, I was driving recklessly, having no regard for myself.
‘I didn’t really care about myself. I’d end up crashing cars and then paying to ge tthem fixed. It was all my fault, I hold my hands up to all of this. I am dealing with the consequences and now I want to set it straight.’
Jack added: ‘Before, things would go wrong or something bad would happen and I couldn’t handle it. I was always off drinking and taking drugs, it was masking – not dealing with the issues and problems that I had head on.
‘I thought I didn’t have a problem. From the age of 18 this has been an ongoing issue but unfortunately now since being on TV those mistakes are now public. They’re not stuff that you can deal with behind closed doors.
‘It’s stuff that I’ve done that now everyone knows about. It’s not something I could keep back.’
He explained that whether he became famous or not, he would still have struggled with these issues.
He told the presenters: ‘No matter how I ended up with money, this would have happened regardless, no matter what the scenario was.
‘Having money in abundance quite quickly accelerated it but this would have happened anyway. The amount of opportunities that I’ve messed up due to this but then would not confront it and not actually say I’ve got a problem here.
‘I would go onto the next thing, let someone down and burn some bridges. But I didn’t want to burn those bridges. All of a sudden, there’s no one left to fall back on. There was nothing more to salvage.
