Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet’s ‘painful’ exchange at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells, California has been revealed.

The 27-year-old reality star accompanied her actor love, 29, to the high-profile sporting event Sunday- but all eyes switched to the couple when they shared a stilted kiss and conversation, with fans speculating they were on the rocks.

Now forensic lipreader Jeremy Freeman has exclusively uncovered the couple’s conversation for DailyMail.com –  with the Call Me By Your Name star focused on the match between Holger Rune of Denmark and France ‘s Ugo Humbert, rather than his girlfriend’s request for a loved-up pH๏τo.

Freeman says Kylie requested a kissing snap with Timothee, who complied, but the actor then told his partner: ‘Wait a minute, love’ with his eyes focused on the court.

As Kylie gripped his face with her hands and kissed a seemingly unimpressed Timothee – who kept his eyes open and on the match – she allegedly gave the command: ‘Eye contact!’ to which the actor responded: ‘Go on’ adding ‘yum, yep.’ 

Sitting back in his chair afterwards, Timothee grimaced and loudly exclaimed: ‘Ow!’ with a laughing Kylie responding: ‘Are you ok? ‘

As she began stroking his stomach repeatedly, Timothee said:  ‘No problem, I’m good, don’t worry about it.’

Discussion then turned to the game as Timothee, who was still being caressed by Kylie, told her: ‘Watch the point, watch the point.’

Timothee was then seen shouting ‘atta Ugo’ in support of the player, before standing up and calling out:  ‘No, no, how can you miss that!’

He added: ‘That was a bad miss, that was a bad miss’ as a subdued Kylie snapped a pic of the court.

Fans had called out the longtime couple’s exchange on social media, with one writing: ‘him not kissing her back and her kissing him w her eyes open is making me cringe.

Others wrote: ‘This is me kissing my cat.

‘But this also comes across a bit yikes because he is clearly into the match and not her in that moment so she looks a bit performative. But I say in that moment because who knows how he was otherwise. Moments in time don’t a story tell.

Following Timothée’s Oscars loss last week to The Brutalist star Adrien Brody, fans have claimed that her boyfriend missed out on his second chance at the prestigious award due to her surprise appearance at the ceremony.

Kylie shushed those conspiracists with plenty of PDA during the match one week on from her beau’s Academy Awards snub.

Her sister Kendall Jenner was also seen taking a seat in the row in front of the loved-up couple.

Timothée, meanwhile, was dressed casually in a preppy white shirt with vertical navy stripes, which he wore open to reveal his white undershirt.

The couple have lately been beset by parasocial fans on social media who have revived talk of the so-called ‘Kardashians curse’.
