Another Simple Favor director Paul Feig had nothing but good things to say about Blake Lively during their SXSW movie premiere.
Speaking highly of the 37-year-old actress, he complimented her on the clothing contributions she made for her character Emily.
‘Her ideas on wardrobe are spectacular. When when she first shows up [in the movie], Blake was like, “I want to show up in a suit that looks like a prison outfit.”
‘It’s one of these things that when somebody first says it, you’re like, “That’s weird.” Then you realize it’s actually brilliant,’ Feig shared with The Hollywood Reporter.
It marks a sharp contrast to what Lively’s It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni — with whom she’s embroiled in a bitter legal dispute — said about her overstepping when it came to her character Lily Bloom’s onscreen outfits.
Feig also recounted how Blake used a trip to Italy to source an accessory she wore in the upcoming Prime movie.

‘She came back and said, “I just bought this hat. Can we put it in the movie?” That’s definitely going in the movie. You kidding me?
‘And my favorite thing is how she navigates the street with it,’ he gushed to the publication at the festival.

‘There’s one sH๏τ where she’s walking past the camera and, as she goes by, she lifts it up so you can see her face. I’m like, “You are such a f**king movie star.”‘ he recalled.
In his bombshell counter lawsuit against Blake, Justin alleges that Blake wanted to make her It Ends With Us looks ‘much Sєxier.’
‘While lead actors are sometimes granted approval over their characters’ general look, they generally do not receive full control over wardrobe decisions without input from the director or producers,’ the legal paperwork states, per an account from Just Jared.
It was added that Lively’s adjustments subsequently led to her ‘far exceeding the allocated budget.’
The explosive lawsuit goes on to include: ‘On the first day of principal pH๏τography, paparazzi captured and published pH๏τos of Lively in character wearing her hand-picked wardrobe.
‘These images were widely reported as unflattering and sparked a backlash from Sony. Baldoni received direct criticism from Sony, who voiced serious concerns about the impact of the pH๏τos on the Film’s public reception.’

Last December, Lively outlined missed work opportunities in her explosive lawsuit against Justin.
She alleged in legal paperwork that Baldoni Sєxually harᴀssed her throughout the making of the movie and engineered a smear campaign against her.
One of the missed work gigs listed was hosting the season 50 premiere of Saturday Night Live in September, which came the month after the feature was released.
‘The effects on Ms. Lively’s professional life were immediate and substantial,’ said the suit.
‘Given the ongoing nature of the campaign and the ᴀssociated negative public sentiment, Ms. Lively did not believe she could proceed with public appearances or events without being forced to openly discuss what happened on set,’ the filing stated.
