Jax Taylor has reached 100 days of sobriety from both alcohol and cocaine.

He shared his progress on Instagram, posting a pH๏τo of himself in a white suit, leaning again a wall, looking suave.

Taylor also shared an image of a countdown showing 100 days free of both substances.

He captioned the post, ‘100 days down and the rest of my life to go.’

Fans were overwhelmingly supportive of his endeavor but none of the cast of Vanderpump Rules or The Valley commented on Taylor’s health update.

The 45-year-old reality TV star revealed he’s had a cocaine problem for 20 years on an episode of the H๏τ Mic podcast.

‘I have substance issues — primarily with cocaine. It’s hard to say out loud. I’ve been dealing with this on and off since I was 23 and now I’m 45,’ he began.

‘There was times where I would stop doing it but then there were times where I’d go heavy on it.

‘I just want to let people know this is a really, really tough disease and it’s a really tough sickness,’ Jax explained.

He said he can’t drink alcohol and stay clean from cocaine, so he’s given that up too. 

‘I’ve never said this in my life. So to come out and say that I have an addiction [and] that I have a sickness that I have to work on the rest of my life is a really big deal for me. Obviously, it’s a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.’

Taylor said the stress of his marital split intensified his addiction, causing him to go to rehab after he ‘hit rock bottom’ and exploded at his estranged wife in front of their son, Cruz, three. 

Jax’s estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, 36, discussed his drug abuse on the couple’s When Reality Hits podcast on March 7.

‘No one wants Jax to be better more than I do, let’s be real. I tried and tried and tried for years to help this man get better and for us to be a happy family, I was deeply and madly in love with him, there’s no one that can ever deny that. You know? My love was real,’ she said.

‘And I tried very, very hard to make sure that — especially after we had our son — that he was getting the help he needed.’ 

Cartwright said the way Taylor framed the story of why he chose to go back to rehab was an issue for her. 

She said he was primarily motivated to go to rehab because he was on the verge of losing his job. 

Brittany said she was upset that he wasn’t motivated stay sober for her and their son.

She said the day he screamed at her in front of Cruz, they were in the car on the way to a doctor’s appointment for their son. 

She said a text from another man popped up on her phone, escalating the situation.

‘He loses it. He starts trying to grab my phone and Cruz is in the backseat in his car seat. That alone is horrible. So he’s reaching over, grabbing my phone, yelling at me, saying all this stuff. 

‘Then he started saying the most despicable things you could ever say to your ex.’

‘I just want to let people know this is a really, really tough disease and it’s a really tough sickness,’ Jax explained

She also said she didn’t buy Jax’s line about turning over a new leaf now. 

‘This is horrible, he has not changed. He’s trying to act in public like he’s this mental health advocate and this and that and he’s so much better and he’s giving all these excuses and doing all these victim mentality things,’ she said. 

‘And I was like, “It’s not fair. I am being yelled at and this is a struggle on my everyday life.” I was like, “Something has to be done.”

‘I’m glad that he finally admitted to what was really going on,’ Cartwright said in a statement to People.

‘For the first time, I can speak openly about the extent of trauma he’s instilled on our family over the years.’

She added: ‘I’ve tried desperately to help him without success. I pray that one day he completely knocks this addiction, but I’m skeptical. His behaviors are still alarming and his treatment plan seems to be the bare minimum.’
