Scarlett Johansson dazzled onlookers in a beautiful red sequinned gown on Thursday as she led the star-studded arrivals for the Marriage Story premiere at the 76th Venice Film Festival.
The actress, 34, looked stunning in the fitted gown with a thigh-high split as put on a very leggy display during the the launch of the Netflix film in Italy, while sat in the audience during the premiere.
Scarlett’s appearance comes after she branded her role in the film ‘fated,’ as she plays a woman going through a divorce after her own split from husband Romain Dauriac in 2017.
As she walked the red carpet, Scarlett ensured that all eyes were on her as she wore a fitted scarlet gown covered in delicate sequins from the designer Celine.
The Avengers star showed off her intricate floral back tattoo in the strapless dress, which also boasted a thigh-high split.
Scarlett kept her blonde tresses in a slicked-back wet look style as she sported a quirky silver chain earring by Ana Khouri to add an edge to her outfit.
Scarlett’s appearance at the premiere comes after she candidly said the role was ‘fated,’ as it came after her own divorce from husband Roman in 2017.

Speaking at a press conference for the film, which Variety reported on, she explained: ‘I was actually going through a divorce.
‘I didn’t know what we were going to talk about… I just kind of blew into the room, ordered a glᴀss of white wine and started complaining. And he was just listening and very attentive. And then he kind of cut it short and said, “Funny you should mention it.”‘
‘It felt sort of fated in a way,’ Scarlett added. ‘It was an experience to share with him and have him share with me. And it somehow came at just the right time.’

Scarlett and Romain were married from 2014 until 2017, and they share five-year-old daughter Rose, and the star was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 until 2011. She is now engaged to SNL star Colin Jost.
