Tate McRae has opened up about the physical toll of filming her Revolving Door music video, revealing she suffered bruises, taped-up feet and whiplash.
The Canadian singer, 21, released her third studio album So Close To What on February 21, along with a music video for the new song Revolving Door.
In the raunchy video, directed by Aerin Moreno, she was dressed in skimpy white shorts and a matching crop top in another impressive dance performance.
But her impressive flexibility and challenging routine were not accomplished easily, as she revealed her injuries during an interview on Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill.
She told Jimmy: ‘You know that was my first time really dancing in heels!
‘I am really bad at walking in heels in general I find it really awful, so this shoot was like eleven hours long and let me tell you our feet were taped up we had blisters everywhere, we had bruises everywhere.

‘It was like a crazy day we were destroyed by the end of it.’
When Jimmy commented on her dramatic hair tossing and bold ‘hair-ography’, Tate confessed that she suffered from whiplash the next day.
She confessed: ‘Yeah, I for sure had whiplash the next day. I was kind of convinced I had a concussion my brain, like, moved. It was a new level of soreness after a shoot.’
Whiplash is a neck injury caused by sudden movement of the head. It usually gets better within two to three months, according to the NHS website.
The clip kicks off by showing the star walking out of dark hallway papered with images of herself, before a door opens into an all-white room with several other doors.
The door shuts momentarily and then transitions to the bright white studio, leading to the subtle musical opening.
The camera slowly pans up from her white pumps to her face just as she begins verse one of the song that seemingly references an ex.
She confesses: ‘My cold heart is finally melting,’ in the first melody, which leads to the chorus of the evocative release.

‘Baby I tried to call you off like a bad habit / But I keep coming back like a revolving door / Say I couldn’t want you less, but I just want you more,’ she sings, all while sharing her moves with four ladies dressed in the exact same ensemble.
In a surprising show of emotion, Tate ends the high-octane routine by breaking down in tears while laying on the floor.
The One Day star could be heard weeping right after the music fades, eventually showing the tears falling down her face when she partially rises to her knees.
